I was amazed to learn that long island actually has several (artificial) reefs that you can dive. And with shipwrecks too.. Scuba diving long island is definitely on my bucket list.

its an easy wreck to get lost on. not much relief. which is surprising how there is so much sealife there.

Wow how did you learn to scuba dive? I enjoy snorkeling but the murky water isn’t the best for snorkeling around LI. Amazing how much clearer it is scuba diving.

I used good life divers. Danny is the owner, tell him i sent you if you go. We pick and choose our days to dive. Rain and wind kick up sediment. There is some unbelievable dive spots on long island. As well as dive boats to do some deeper stuff.

    I lived there for years.
In 1979 US Navy blew up awreck just east of mouth of inlet.
Not sure if that's the one.
    Excellent 👍

Awesome footage. I got certified a while ago down in Turks and Caicos and bought myself dive gear over this past Christmas. I’ve been Spearfishing (freediving) around here for a while but was wondering if you recommended any spots near the Shinnecock/Moriches area? Maybe some shallower spots because I have to get used to the diving up here with low vis and currents and what not.

Ponoqougue bridge is a great dive. I would recommend going with someone who has experience diving there. Also you could join "the dive club". They are a great club and do dives all over long Island.

Why didn't you spear the monk fish, and get the sea bass, too?? They are both awesome eating.

I unfortunately do not have the coordinates. This dive was on a chartered dive boat. The capts guard their numbers lol

Did you ever end up getting the numbers? I’ve been trying to find these numbers for a couple years. One of the few wrecks I can’t find any info on.

@@AndrewSmith-gi5ip Hi Andrew. Sorry im just seeing this. I dive all over. I dive with good life divers most of the time. they charter the boats for our dives. You should check out "The Dive Club". they are a long island dive club and membership is super cheap. They run dives all year and all over long Island. They are a great group of people!
