Prewar Marx guy here, I converted my damaged Lionel water tank into a very effective train whistle enclosure. It`s quite loud.

I wonder if years ago, someone used a red bulb with that tower & wired in an automotive signal flasher to make the bulb blink? They could have it connected it to the streetlight circuit for "nighttime operation"!
