Prewar Marx guy here, I have My dad`s Lionel 224 loco. and six cars, some of which you have. I have become hooked on Marx since viewing Benz Trains. You`ve got a nice collection there. Merry Christmas and keep on plunking along.
Neat prewar stuff. All I have in terms of prewar are a few bargain American flyer coaches and a Lionel black 221 Dreyfus, which might be early postwar but it gives off more of a prewar feel to me.
Very nice collection you have there. You acquired some nice “new” pieces. Enjoy and thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
I love prewar! I have my father's 229 2-4-2 from his Christmas in 1938, and a few of his original metal cars.
That's a very nice collection. judging by the prototypes I'd say mid to late 1930's
Thank you! Yes everything dates late 30s to early 40s

Thank you and merry christmas too! Marx is really fun and i do wanna get more of it.
Love all your videos! I keep coming back because all my trains are currently on a boat on their way back from Korea 😢
Glad you like them!

I've got a 221 as well! Its early postwar (think it came out in 1947) but def has prewar vibes to it.
Neat o 👍!
I really need to get at least 1 prewar train. Eyeing a 262E especially.
Go for it! Prewar is fun
the late prewar stuff looks very postwar, with the diecast boilers, valve gear and 6 drivers.
Yee! it was an interesting transition time
@@LaurensLionel Transition.... Though the couplers are still obviously prewar.
WOW You have a 224 that runs!!! Mine fell apart .
Sorry to hear that, mines been a very reliable and solid engine for over a decade for me
@@LaurensLionel the problem was what they call zinc rot.
Had I been born in 1937 instead of 1957 i would be well versed in Lionel trains.
Still time to get caught up! lol
Sehr schöne Blechsammlung
Dankeschön!
