Bio: Dr. Ágnes Virga is a board-certified neurologist and psychiatrist, who has decades of experience with diagnosing and treating migraines with the newest treatments and approaches. Dr. Virga is a graduate from Debrecen University School of Medicine, after which she worked at Boston Biomedical Research Institute and at Boston University Neuroanatomical Department until she was accepted into her residency at the UMASS Medical Center, where she also completed her neurology fellowship. Currently, she is the Chief of Neurology at Emerson Hospital in Concord Massachusetts, where her practice focuses on migraines. As a migraine sufferer herself, she can identify with the difficulties the migraine sufferers face and dedicates her effort to change the general approach to migraines. For this attention and her work, she was recognized as Community Physician of the Year in 2024 by the Massachusetts Medical Society. Additionaly, Dr. Virga is an active member of local Hungarian communities: she is a Medical Ambassador of “segitseg.ma”'s Hungarian Hub program and a board member of the Hungarian Medical Association of America (HMAA), as well as Secretary of the HMAA New England Chapter.
