    We have a cow that broke a horn and we need to get her in a head gate and use a halter to hold her steady while we care for it - and this was exactly the tutorial I needed to make our own!

    Are there any videos for how to tie it so that the lead is central? I think I was told a chuck knot? But I don’t know how to do one.

    So how do you do this when you are using a rope that you can't unravel into strands....
    Every video I have found uses a rope with twisted strands.

      Only if you tie it with a certain knot so that the lead is central under the jaw, I knot my farrier once showed me, which I promptly forgot and am now trawling UA-cam searching for it!

      Our female luckily don’t have big horns just yet but our boy has horns but they are about medium height

      For the adjustable side, could I cut and burn it to make it shorter since they are pretty short lol I don’t want the adjustable part dragging lol
