Im late, but FYI for people with low potential, you might want to get Binary Enfold as 1 of your first packs, as the anomaly scales via Ptt, so having high potential before getting to it will make it way harder, I know from experience. (Buy it before you have 5 ptt to play on past, or 10 on present, the future chart is hard to do well on, so even if you think you can do it, play it safe and buy it before 10 ptt)

my first song pack was vicious labyrinth bcs its how i got into the game, from a grievous lady map in circle clicking game. i was in love with both the song and the character at my first encounter. definitely got skill issued cuz im around ptt 9 that time
if, as a free to play player, my potential is like currently 10.10, would it be good to start with eternal core? my plan was to buy the chunithm pack (i love chunithm) but also first go through the main story. i didn’t think about the side story packs. do those matter?
I have a different opinion. I would recommend buying Black Fate first then go on to Final Verdict after that. (Skip the first four) This is because although the future difficulties in black fate is really difficult for beginners, the present difficulty should be perfectly fine. There are two solid present 9 and a present 8. This pack is so perfect to me because you can constantly challenge yourself by stepping up at a time. Danta PRS (8.2) --> #1f PRS (9.2) --> Eq FTR (9.4) --> Tem PRS (9.5) --> Anta FTR (9.9) is a perfect route. The only thing unfriendly about Black Fate is that there is no 10s, so this is where final verdict comes in. You have two great 10 charts in FV (Pentiment 10.3 and Arcana 10.5), and you can return back to Tempest FTR (10.7) after conquering those two. The thing that is really good about black fate is that it has one or two songs of every difficulty so that you can start low and climb up without having to worry that you cannot go any harder, and this is really why I recommend black fate.
I respect it! The main story packs in the end provide the best value out of all, and black fate does have a good distribution. I do think it's a good pick, but players just need to be aware that the difficulties for the future difficulty of the boss songs are just really high

I think choosing the story is a better decision if you want to follow gradual difficulty rise and stuff. But ofcourse, if there's a pack you like and you feel like you can handle it, yeah, you should definitely go for it. Just make sure to not get something that feels too hard or it'll make your experience worse. The recommendation to buy the story packs is because the difficulty rises as you go, plus it gives the most value for the money spent, that's all. Have fun!
hii i came back to arcaea after 1 and a half ish years (i broke my finger lol), whats a good way to get back into the groove? before i can fr 8 songs and can clear most 9s, now i can barely get past 7-8 T_T
I think the best way to get back into it is to play harder levels which you couldn't play before. If you give those some attempts, your attempts on the easier songs will become a lot better. Try to play your favourite songs and levels. I normally don't promote my stuff, but I think you should watch my tips and techniques video if you haven't watched it yet. im new to arcaea and can beat puragtorium and lucifer (ftr 8s) at A should i go back to the 7s to try FR/PM them or keep going through til i can beat 9s i can beat 8s first try mostly now. how should i play to progress more?
I think you should keep going to play harder levels. You'll be able to get a lot better doing that. And once you can get EX on those 7s you can try going for the FR. PM comes afterwards when you can consistently EX+ the level

Since the final chapter will be dropping soon, a lot of new people might start playing and I think it'll be most useful for them. I did not cover Memory Archive in this video unfortunately.
