The factory shocks on this application and the ones featured in the video are non-adjustable shocks and do not have any settings to be changed on them.
Where do you think you're getting mid travel from this kit? The suspension travel is not changing. You're only changing the point of travel not the length of travel. It is still stock length travel not mid travel. I would have assumed better information from such a quality production.
Great job buddy! Hey man where are guys located? I wonder if you have any shop around Asheville, NC area, I owned a 2004 Runner 2WD as well, and I'd like to lift it up with same kit on the this video, and, How reliable is this after market Upper control arm? Is this as reliable as Toyota? If I keep the original one, Am I gonna get alignment issues? Thanks in advance, good job!!
The chromoly tubing and tig welds are quite a bit stronger than the Toyota arms and they come packed with polyurethane bushings with zerk fittings so you can keep them lubed up with lithium grease. The ball joint is a uniball unit and is serviceable so you can pull it apart, clean it, and keep it greased up as well. Truth be told, they do take a little more maintenance than the stock arms but they're so much more durable. Also, if you still have the truck way on down the line, you can change out the bushings or the ball joint without having to buy a whole new arm like with the stock setup. Our headquarters are a little south of Los Angeles. Doesn't look like we have a dealer in Asheville... closest ones look like either RPM Offroad in Bristol, TN or Griffin Brothers in Lincolnton. Alternatively, you can order the kit off our website and have someone local install it for you. SSYT15 will save you 15% off of everything except shocks and the arms. supremesuspensions.com/collections/toyota/4runner+2004
And on alignment, if you keep it 2.5" or less you should be able to get it aligned with the stock arms; 3" and up you'll want to have the arms to help out with the alignment.
Man I know it's been a while since your response but I just wanted to comment on how awesome it was that you have a very detailed and informative response! I'm looking to get a leveling kit for me 16' 4Runner down the road and when I'm ready to get it I'll be sure to check y'all out 👍
Wow this video is very well done. If only everything came apart that easy all the time.
Frrrrrrr
I just subscribed ☝🏼
Thanks, that's a great way to keep up on things with us.
What setting was the shocks on?

great video
Thanks!
If I install 2.5 inches on front (leveling kit) do I need the upper control arm?
Stock arms can handle 2.5" of lift but I do recommend the tubular arms for anything 3" and up.
