As always, you're a man on a mission... it's a pleasure to watch you work...
That´s a Ocelot dune buggy body. I had one in my 20s back in the 70s. Which was a lot more fun than being in my 70s in the 20s !
Agree - that's an Ocelot. A very cool buggy version, too. The lines are more flowy than the Manx. That wasp-like waist is too sexy. Definitely love this version!
I remember as a kid watching "Speed buggy" and thinking to myself how frickin cool "Speedy" was!!
My fave body style for sure!
Cool dog. I have a similar situation. I don't really like cats but one showed up last fall and since I feed it, it's still here. I have to be more careful about what I spill or leave laying around in the garage but it's nice having a companion who does not speak.
Well done, Ian, you did it, happy wife. Happy life ❤🌹🎂🙏🏽😅
👉🏼🔘VOTE TRUMP⛳✊🏼
Awesome I love it
I like the Sterling
Patti and her husband are real people. Making something for her birthday is something real. And real is what counts.
you are the man
I learned the word "cockamamy" (24:38) thanks to Ian's rich vocabulary. It comes from the Yiddish word "kakameh" meaning "nonsense" or "foolishness."
Love the shop dog, looks like a pit pup.
Great job you did on that buggies love it
Great build
When I shorten a chassis, I overlap steel, aft on the front to make the joint stronger. I also weld on both sides.
Dayam those dune buggies are high.
The Meyers Manx was the first fiberglass bodied dune buggy. I have an article from 1962 on them in Mechanics Illustrated.
👍
bravo
I thought that DC motors you could just reverse the polarity and it would run the opposite direction…..
Is that not the case with a tow motor motor? ??
Aww, the Shop Inspector. 😢
I like fiberglass
I used to work on corvettes, and I never got the itches from it.
How can someone buy a Barnacle Bros. , shirt? Could you point me in the right direction? I’d like to get one for a friend of mine.
Don’t grab that roll cage bar if that buggy rolls you will lose fingers or a hand
Porsche 356 or early 911 headlights with wire rally covers..... that would be bitchin '.
I almost bought a Meyers Manx dund buggy
REDUX...
There is a reason nobody has an electric dune buggy.
Lol " Master Metal worker " Give us a break!!!
wow! i just heard about ian, his wife being a rn had him put in a mental hospital. she said he kept running around the property screaming i need more parts~! more steel! where is my welder? my inspectors! they were terrified of him as was his wife. the ambulance came to pickhim up with a large net. he screams! i can make it better! well after he was commited in the rubber padded room they loaded him up with drugs. poor fella snapped, even victor is in the room next to him.last report his wife said he will be there a long time. she said no one can visit him because he now thinks he is one of the inspectors. runs around barking at the doctors
I don't like wastfull shit. Good to see it restored. The man has NO vision.
Well you ruined it, electric is crap.
Yep indeed shouldn’t have bum bummer
Nope
Are you kidding? Electric is SO cool. Way cooler than you….that’s obvious. Build something better. OF COURSE you can’t.😂 Breathe!
Crap electric? No!
