Hey there, I'm sure someone may have mentioned it, but the Dauntless is not a class of Federation Starship. It was an alien ship disguised as a Federation vessel in an Episode of Voyager. It showed up as an Easter Egg in Enterprise... but I'm reasonably sure it's not canon. I may be wrong though!
It appeared in an Enterprise episode as a future ship alongside other Federation vessels, so it is actually canon. Shown in a Temporal War episode. I forget the name but Archer saw it fly by the window and it was clearly shown while aboard teh E-J while at the Battle of Proscion V. Daniels brought him there. It flies by at 1:07. Enterprise-J

After all, R2-D2 appears in the asteroid belt during the reboot Star Trek movie, is it now canon that there are astromech droids running around Starfleet headquarters? The Federation having a Dauntless Class, based on the cloaked/disguised form of an alien vessel from the Delta Quadrant... generations after it was contacted is not sci-fi, it's fantasy. In my opinion. :'3 EDIT: Plus who knows if what happened in Enterprise is 100% true? If the whole thing was a holodeck recreation from the start, it may have been spiced up with false events. :P
But in the sto timeline, they used iconian gateways to get to the delta quadrant, I'm guessing the voyager crew discovered the "blueprints" on a survey mission (it says the voyager crew discovered its specs later after they returned)

You missed Galaxy Class, as well as Excellsior Retrofit, Pregrine Attack Fighter. And not to mention the other types of shuttle craft including the Venture and Delta Flyer, but over all amazing video. My favorite ship is the Odyssey because of size, weapons, and space. I don't care for maneuverability because the weapons make up for it, not to mention the incredibly strong shields and best warp drive.
Very nicely done and it's really nice to see someone including many of the more unusual non (canon) ships that so many star trek canon purists like to pretend never existed or were portrayed in the shows or books.

Yellowstone, Danube, Akira, Defiant, Nova and Intrepid class are my favourites. They are not the biggest ships, yet they are very capable, and compact.
AWESOME VIDEO !!!! People are mentioning that this is not ALL the ships, but Star Trek is still evolving so it's not really possible to get ALL the ships just yet. STAR TREK ONLINE just started it's 9th season of new stories -- bringing back almost the entire original cast of actors from VOYAGER to reprise their roles as they head back to the Delta Quadrant --- so even within "canon" Star Trek, there are "new" ships being introduced every year, and supposedly "old" ships that we haven't seen yet. And if you want to start including "non-canon" ships, then this video would have to be a few days long to show pictures of all the ships in the "expanded universe" that have cropped up in the novels, comics, fan-fiction films, etc. A lot of the "Federation" ships have not really been established in canon or even non-canon. The Federation was established in 2161 by Vulcans, Andorians, Humans, and Tellarites. So even if we can leave out the NX-01 Enterprise becuase it is "pre-federation", there's still tons of Vulcan, Andorian,and Tellarite ships that have yet to be fully fleshed out in-canon. Although ENTERPRISE and STAR TREK ONLINE have shown a lot of Andorian ships, and some Vulcan stuff, the Tellarites either didn't contribute much to ship designs or we just haven't seen most of their stuff yet. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS: This is all just fiction -- all make-believe; no matter how much we all love Star Trek, it's all just imaginary fiction ---- so it can be changed, skewed, re-written, re-booted, or grow in any direction the writers and producers decide. And if they go too far off from the established canon, they just call it an "alternate time line" and keep going. They did that in the original series in the 1960's with the mirror universe; they did it several times in The Next Generation and Voyager. DS9 did it a few times, and even STAR TREK ONLINE has done it for a couple of episodes, like "Temporal Ambassador" where Denise Crosby returned to play Tasha Yar again -- which sounded like it was going to be so stupid, but it actually turned out so awesome!
😅I appreciate the video and the pics which are outstanding! It might be canon, or not, but I have had the blueprints (deck by deck) for some time now. I think the tri-engine dreadnought should've been here as well as Star Empire from the book Battle stations. The original dreadnought was listed in the original Star Trek recognition manual.
It's hard for me to look back and search my memory banks to see if there was a video that I enjoyed watching that could top this one, I failed. This is such a great video, brought back some great memories of the USS Exelsior and her transwarp drive, the Galaxy class Enterprise D, the Intrepid class Voyager, the original Constitution class Enterprise. You completely missed the NX class, which was the first class of Starship, which there were 5, the Enterprise NX-01 built, followed by the 02, 03, 04, and 05, the others were the Atlantis, Endeavor, Challenger, Discovery
Constitution (Refit) is my favorite, but there are several others that I enjoy the design of: Defiant, Miranda, & Steamrunner, in particular. The iconic Klingon D-7 & K'tinga ships are also pretty cool.
The what looks like NCC-1881 is a copy of The NCC-1864, Khan's ship. Their is a reason they chose NCC-1864 for Khans ship. It's when the year civil war turned around in the Norths favor. Well done

Yes, I wish you had provided all of the ship names and all of the class names. Like many ST fans, I had to watch your excellent video on my phone. That made it difficult to read the "small" print on some of the saucer sections.
The music got drydocked at the end! D: Really cool visual demonstration, brings back *soooooo many* memories of that surreal nirvana that at true Trekkies hold within them. my only constructive criticism would be to include titles or data, not just image. Like maybe a caption saying "Sovereign Class", then a bit of info about it's size, entered service date, etc. *Keep Boldly Going!* *\V/_*
I felt it would have been better if each ship had names. A few I knew some but not a vast majority. Some looked fantastic and names would have been great!
Pretty cool. I'm glad you included some "non-canon" ships. Maybe you could do another video, which delves more into the "nonexistent" starships, like some more from the Franz Joseph/SFB Universe, and some from the Space Flight Chronology. And maybe even some FASA ships would be cool. There's a lot out there on Google. I can give you two to start searching for; the Mann Class and the Baton Rouge Class. Once the approved Enterprise-J saucer section was mated with the Altair-class wingship, the design became known as the Congo-class, which turned out to be another unapproved runner-up for the eventual Enterprise-J design
The galaxy class is still the most elegant design in my opinion. The more modern the ships get the more edgier they are thatfor loosing a lot of the elegance of good old star fleet design. The Intrepid class would also be pretty if i would not have to think all the time about that it seems like that this where propably some crazy experimental ships made for female captains with a crew of indian shamans, black vulcans, jarfar binks like cooks and all sort of weired people nobody else wanted on their ships.
That Dauntless class is cool looking, but my new favorite is the DREADNOUGHT class from 'INTO DARNESS'. Nice to see the Federation has the capacity, if it chose, to design a badass warship that could wipe the floor with anything the Klingons, Cardassians, or Romulans could muster. I would love to see this vessel in another ST movie, preferably in a 'Mirror, Mirror' based film where we might see what this bad boy is really capable of!
Most Starfleet vessels were designed for war, seeing as they were facing threats like the Klingons and Romulans. The Galaxy-class and other TNG-era ships are the outliers. But I guess you could say the relative peace was long enough that the Federation forgot how to war. Until the Borg and Dominion. _USS Defiant_ and _USS Voyager_ were some of the first ships developed in the wake of the tragedy at Wolf 359.
Don’t know if it’s already been said, but 3:14 isn’t a Federation ship - it was actually an alien ship masquerading as a Starfleet ship to send the Voyager crew to the Borg...
I wonder if the designers finish their drawings and models and actually say to themselves "that looks AWESOME!" or if they just have their 12 year old sons do a scribble drawing and then include it to make him feel special.
sorry to burst your bubble , but at the 3:29 mark, its NOT the constitution class refit, it is the ENTERPRISE class...renamed after the famous voyages of the enterprise in tribute after the return on the 5 year mission...is in EVERY tech manual and book...get it right
your still wrong, cause in that link he even mentions he was wrong, and summarily in the canon it was change from the intended enterprise class to the constitution class, so you are wrong again. you may also have the unrevised version of the tech manual which is older and unrevised than the ones i have collected. the enterprise class was a behind the scenes name and never made it into the actual canon because it was changed to constitution class, CBS who owns the rights to Trek and its canon even states this is a constitution class, so i tend to go with there word over your slight misunderstanding.

next ship is oberth refit, testing new phaser cannon, like future enterprise d. then later is newer excelsior refit - phaser cannon inside saucer, has the real transwarp drive warp 15. can sepreate, saucer has warp drive. later, while in the nexus, kirk split copy imagines still aboard his enterprise. alien phenomenon brings his ship and crew into the future. the ship is so large - voyager and a bird of prey can dock inside the hanger. alittle bulked up especially the dosal, it has duel phaser extra long phaser cannons inside saucer, and under hanger. side photon tubes,weapons on warp engines. warp 19, phase cloak, and more. but mostly looks like enterprise a. that's my enterprise j, from many years ago
Personally, I want to command the USS Relativity, @ 00:05:42 Unfortunately, when I finally was able to 'purchase' the Starfleet "Welles Class" time ship, in the STO 'Zen-store', Cryptic had 'reworked' the ship's 'original' configuration, and you can't get the ship, in the way it was originally configured, when it was first seen on Star Trek: Voyager.
It is the Emperor of Starships! (my favorite is the Constitution II "refit" - gawd, it's beautiful!) The Galaxy Class... the beauty is only in its name. Yuk!

Nice to see the Federation has the capacity, if it chose, to design a badass warship that could wipe the floor with anything the Klingons, Cardassians, or Romulans could muster. I would love to see this vessel in another ST movie, preferably in a 'Mirror, Mirror' based film where we might see what this bad boy is really capable of!
Most Starfleet vessels were designed for war, seeing as they were facing threats like the Klingons and Romulans. The Galaxy-class and other TNG-era ships are the outliers. But I guess you could say the relative peace was long enough that the Federation forgot how to war.
Until the Borg and Dominion. _USS Defiant_ and _USS Voyager_ were some of the first ships developed in the wake of the tragedy at Wolf 359.
Don’t know if it’s already been said, but 3:14 isn’t a Federation ship - it was actually an alien ship masquerading as a Starfleet ship to send the Voyager crew to the Borg...
Wait. 4:40, that is the USS Helena, a Renaissance-II class ship from Star Trek Hidden Frontier/The Helena Chronicles isn't it? That class is canon?!
I wonder if the designers finish their drawings and models and actually say to themselves "that looks AWESOME!" or if they just have their 12 year old sons do a scribble drawing and then include it to make him feel special.
sorry to burst your bubble , but at the 3:29 mark, its NOT the constitution class refit, it is the ENTERPRISE class...renamed after the famous voyages of the enterprise in tribute after the return on the 5 year mission...is in EVERY tech manual and book...get it right

your still wrong, cause in that link he even mentions he was wrong, and summarily in the canon it was change from the intended enterprise class to the constitution class, so you are wrong again. you may also have the unrevised version of the tech manual which is older and unrevised than the ones i have collected. the enterprise class was a behind the scenes name and never made it into the actual canon because it was changed to constitution class, CBS who owns the rights to Trek and its canon even states this is a constitution class, so i tend to go with there word over your slight misunderstanding.

next ship is oberth refit, testing new phaser cannon, like future enterprise d. then later is newer excelsior refit - phaser cannon inside saucer, has the real transwarp drive warp 15. can sepreate, saucer has warp drive. later, while in the nexus, kirk split copy imagines still aboard his enterprise. alien phenomenon brings his ship and crew into the future. the ship is so large - voyager and a bird of prey can dock inside the hanger. alittle bulked up especially the dosal, it has duel phaser extra long phaser cannons inside saucer, and under hanger. side photon tubes,weapons on warp engines. warp 19, phase cloak, and more. but mostly looks like enterprise a. that's my enterprise j, from many years ago

Unfortunately, when I finally was able to 'purchase' the Starfleet "Welles Class" time ship, in the STO 'Zen-store', Cryptic had 'reworked' the ship's 'original' configuration, and you can't get the ship, in the way it was originally configured, when it was first seen on Star Trek: Voyager.
The only thing I would have added would be the names of each Ship underneath the Ships. 🖖🏽
