I love snowfall late at night. It is beautiful and silent. Especially before there are tracks in the snow or footprints. The trees are lined in white and the moonlight dances off the snow.
I love how I’m watching this hoping we get a lot of snow in central Arkansas. High hopes. Last big snow we had was in 2012. It’s was 15” high and it was amazing.
In southwestern Ohio, it's the same story. We're right on the edge between nothing and WTF. We always seem to have approaching storms go just north, or south. Or if it gets interesting a storm will split and we're the difference. We might get sideswiped. But oddly enough because of this pattern, you'd be a fool to not be prepared.
Here in Akron its Typically - Its Arctic Blast clipper wind hitting the West of the city while In the East of the city its Nor-Easter blizzard. Usually , As i sleep at night can hear the clipper winds howling. But in the Day i see the nor-Easter blizzards.. It usually always snows in Akron... there was only one time i did not see snow, it was the last months of 2009, just did not snow, i remember sitting there thinking this is the first Christmas that was not a snowy white Christmas.
Great video! from Buffalo, NY and LOVE SNOW! Was wondering if you can do a video on how Siberian snow-pack affects North American winters. Keep up the great work!
@@vannorman1116 it depends on lakes and the winds!!! HUGE FACTOR. lol southern tier plateau.....dumps lots of snow with right conditions...few inches per hour
Yep the Rockies have their own elevation effect weather. Where about are you without compromising your security... I live in the White Mts area of Az. We got a piece of the action last winter. I was astonished by the power of the avalanches in the San Juans.
@@robertrohde4579 Awesome. Been to Cripple creek and been over Loveland pass the high way. I lived in Westminster for a winter, skied at Keystone alot. Old now, hehe.. Traded for snowmobiles. I am anxious to see if the four corners region gets a repeat and fills the Colo river lakes !
Id have to say, out of all the winter predictions, yours have to be some of the most in depth and precise prediction I have seen. One question though, what would cities that are dead on your percentage lines like Philly or NYC get? Would they still get the 50% like it says or since it's on the line, it gets say 30-40%?
Those snowfall totals can be misleading. Because in some areas the snow melts right away, while in other places it keeps piling up deeper and deeper and doesn't melt until April.
Great video man! My friend and I are really hoping this forecast come true because we live in Connecticut and if this forecast is right then I could see maybe up to 80 inches of snow and he could see up to 100 inches of snow maybe.
I live in i-16 CORRIDOR in East Ga. If we had a Gulf low placed just right with deep cold, then we might get a tad of snow... So in a spirit of hope, i say 3 1/2 inches here in Metter, Ga.
Albany will receive 68 inches of snow. Hey, if Columbus Ohio has to have a huge amount, so does NY - lol. I hate Arctic vortexes (vortexi?) with a mad passion. YUK. But I love your lightning picture!
On your map, you are showing my area as having an average snowfall as 48-72 inches, while in reality, the average is 135, and recent winters have been 175 to 180.…
For me I live southern in MO and we havent got much snow last year or year below. We have never gotten snow in September, but I'm hoping for some snow.
This year has not been as hot as usual, and we've even had rain recently, but thank you for the thought. This forecast for a dry, warm winter is definitely not good news for next year.
How wrong can you be? You predicted a very cold and above average snow fall here in So. PA. We had a dusting 2X and a 5" snow. Had week of balmy days in January and 65 and a 67 degree day in February (I found a night crawler on the lawn in February, Unheard of.) Very soon I will have to mow my lawn, it's all green and growing now.
Sure hope you’re right about Salt Lake as we got a lot last year and I don’t want to buy an expensive snow blower! But then we always have a “lake effect” which can dump a lot in one place and nothing in a different area only a few miles away.
Well,, like I said 🤔I will let you know how much in the spring, I have seen less snow , more snow , warm winter , there predictions were wrong every year, good luck !!! But iam always prepared for a long winter!!!! Bring it on😜
Hey look i want to say thank you for not only answering at least 1 question of mine personally and explaining it aswell. Thank you may give me a better insight.
You need to try to describe west Virgina a little close. Seen this trend in the past , what does the elevation have to play in a place like regions of west Virginia
Wait I hope you respond but I’m in Northern Virginia and your calculating from December to February do does that mean you know if we will have a white Chris as or at least snow in the air? If you do can you tell me because I’m confusion
The weather feels cooler than average in Miami, Fla. There’s a cooler breeze in the evening and morning that I never felt as early as October before. This may be a cooler year for us.
I have a question. The east coast is still in a warm temperatures and while the west is still in a cool temperatures is that a good sign that the east coast will be super cold soon?
My friend your little click at the beginning is new or I just haven't seen it but it's awesome I personally think that you really did a amazing job and I appreciate that so thank you for MY weather forecast and like always thumbs up my friend
Im in central la tho and i was expecting the usual 0.5 inches or 0.1 lol although every now and then Louisiana gets a weirdly 1inch or 2 every now and then
You have us labeled as 72"-100" in northeast oregon. Well the winter of 2018 the last survey done on the mountain only a mile from my house was 189". That was February 18th when they took the measurement. Over all nice job but we average more snow then mount hood normally.
Pretty confident central Massachusetts will see more than 48-72 inches of snowfall. There was 55 inches of Snow last year in a way below average winter
at Kabu - You will see - Nor- Easter blizzards instead of Clippers and Arctic blasts... All of Canada will be colder than it normal is due to increase of sun spots this year and combination of El Nino making the south of the US wetter and hotter than normal this pushed the jet stream up which will give the Great lakes lots of Blizzards..In much of the rest of Canada it will actually be too cold to snow. Toronto is warmer than rest of Canada so its going to see some snow. . Its going to be very cold up there, Try to stay warm and Bundle up,
I don't mind it being frigid and nippy even though it aggravates my arthritis I rather deal with the cold and chilly weather than the muggy and scalding temps because i'm heat intolerant and the humid and hot weather makes me very uncomfortable it also gives me a headache too
Comment below: how many inches of snow do you predict Albany, NY will receive between Dec 1 and Mar 1?
67in
Weather Decoded 71
I think 95 inches.
My three predictions were commented in the other video you did with the contest.
54 in of snow
I love snowfall late at night. It is beautiful and silent. Especially before there are tracks in the snow or footprints. The trees are lined in white and the moonlight dances off the snow.
I hope we get that this year.
Wait.. it's snowing and the moons out?
agreed it looks beautiful and quiet and in the morning : SNOWS HERE!!!!!!!
and there's a 50% chance of this coming true
51%
The snow will be snowier than before.
Here in Chicago we are wondering when or if it will snow this winter?
We get very little snow here in piedmont nc. We have to deal with ice ice ice. Praying we will get more snow and less ice this year!
I love how I’m watching this hoping we get a lot of snow in central Arkansas. High hopes. Last big snow we had was in 2012. It’s was 15” high and it was amazing.
I love getting snow!!!!
Why am I watching this? I live in Florida! Lol 😂.

LOL, I should be watching Karen in Charleston

In 2017 we got snow in California I live in the high desert last year we also got snow hopefully this year we get snow

I love Connecticut snow. ❄️ ⛄️
Good video but I would like to see a fall forecast for the SE we have been scorching this summer and are looking for nice weather
In the works...looking warm this fall, but a flip to cooler by mid Dec.
Great channel. I like all the information you put together. Once in a while, include Florida as you rarely mention it.

Moving to Florida before December. Don't know why I'm watching either!
I’m in Houston and it’s the same thing here. Southeast Texas and Florida are climate twins

You mean Texas? Cause this year has been hotter than normal here in Texas
Not that hot this summer
I think Albany, NY will get about 96 inches on snow

Farmers almanac has the mid alantic as mostly rain with a little snow
That sounds good to me! Greetings from Maryland!
Excellent as usual, great maps, excellent explanations etc. etc. Thanks for the great work that you do.
How’d we get put in the 72-100 inches? It always snows more than 100 inches in Northern Maine...
Sure hope you’re right about Salt Lake as we got a lot last year and I don’t want to buy an expensive snow blower! But then we always have a “lake effect” which can dump a lot in one place and nothing in a different area only a few miles away.
I know you don’t do Canadian forecasts, but since Toronto isn’t far from your forecast area, what do you think Toronto will see this winter?
Slightly above average snow and slightly below average temps. Will look into covering some of that area of Canada in the future.
Weather Decoded just so you know Toronto is near Buffalo New York if that matters
Over 22 minutes for a weather forecast? I'll take my chances, your gonna be wrong any way.
48 inches of snow in Albany NY. Between Dec 1st and Mar 17th.
Thursday the 19th. Mammoth Mtn received 1”-3” of snow

Washington DC and Baltimore are always so weird. The rain-snow line is almost always over highway 95.
OK what is in store for Norfolk Virginia this winter didn't get any last winter
You need to try to describe west Virgina a little close. Seen this trend in the past , what does the elevation have to play in a place like regions of west Virginia
