Out of all the comments yours is the best explanation of what this show really means. I find it interesting how upset some people could get about how there were so many questions left open at the end of the show. This show is amazing because it leaves so many open ended questions where you can't just stuff the blame on one scapegoat for closure. The lack of villians and the melancholy atmosphere that this show leaves behinds will have you asking questions about what it means to be human. I think this in itself is far more important than closure. I love this show because it offers a new perspective on life every time you watch it. It's like an acid trip because it's something you don't watch all the time but something you come back to when you think you learned enough to experience again but once again it shows you something new that you can think about in order to challenge yourself once more to reshape your existence into something better.

Everytime I hear this, I imagine everyone from the serie floating in space. Seriously, this is the kind of anime that you watch entirely and it makes you see the world differently...
this (Kaiba) is the first (and probably only, since most animes have artstyles that i think tried too hard to be realistic) anime (not aimed at children) that i actually enjoy, i've watched 3/12 episodes, going to watch the 4th soon. Edit = i've completed the series. it was like no other pieces of media i've consumed before, it's very strange, but after viewing the whole series, it turns out to be fantastic, just short of perfection (the main problem is the very rushed 2nd half, and the non-linear storytelling might confuse some (although i was able to mostly follow the entirety of the series)), the art style is strange, but suprisingly very pleasing (at least for me, i have a bias towards cartoonish art styles), the theme is also very interesting. Easy 9.5/10 for me, i just wish the series have around 20-30 episodes, instead of just 12

@@azulizachan7595 I doubt she was older than 15, if she still lived with her aunt, plus her aunt says that she hides the food from her, so she's dependant of her
Poor boi with his Loli waifu
The anime this came from is amazing and I'm completely obsessed with the intro song and outro song XD
I know right
it's so mesmerizing
+Shy2Infinity IKR? It's just really sad that it never came to America. The subbed version was made for a DVD release in Australia. Really makes me wish that Funimation would get the rights to it, re-sub it (as some things, such as the subs for the OP are inaccurate) give it a dub, and release it on Blu-Ray!
New Age Retro Sans To be honest, I think it'd sound strange in English.
@@Nitroxity this came true after 6 years :D
what I expected: astro boy lsd style romance adventure
what I got: a whole lot of tears
Got both! Except maybe more shroom style than lsd
This anime deserves more recognition! ❤ Poor Vanilla...😢😢
I can't describe how good this song...
Just can say that this song make me cry and the melod so beautiful
This show was so.. Crazy. It blew my mind but i LOVED this music. Just watched Kaiba this weekend. The first few episodes really hurt so much. The whole show expells cruelty. The futuristic AI body and the memories being thrown away.. Its tragic and a fearsome outlook
when i heard this song at first, i didn't understood the lyrics but the music was soul touching, when i understood the lyrics i felt desolated because i thought time will pass fast before i manage to be happy with the people i love, but after hearing it again it made me feel like i don't want the entire world, i want someone to love that(that loves me), in a good way
This story and its music makes me feel profound things I struggle to put into words. I can't believe it isn't better known, it's a work of pure wonder.
Finally i found it. best of anime in my life
it's amazing how the story was in pieces from the start and at the end it was memories of love.
i end up here every once in a while and whenever i listen to this song i wanna rewatch kaiba but im not stable enough, it'll only fuck me up even more than i currently am
I don’t think I will ever find an anime as good as Kaiba. It was such a pleasant watch, and the soundtrack is absolutely stunning
I have no idea how she managed to sing this to the end without turning into a pile of tears, I can barely get thru the first verse.
I agree, I remember seeing in on crunchyroll each week as it came out. The art is fluid and beautiful. The representation is well excuted. The characters are rich and deep, and you truly care for some. I've been trying to remember it recently. Glad I found it again!
Kaiba is definitely an experience.
such a good story, hope for more anime like this!!
This song makes me cry so much
Amazing history, delicius OP and OST
RIP Best Boy "Vanilla"...
These are some hauntingly beautiful vocals
kaiba 10/10 love this anime
My favorite Japanimation.

I'll never stop loving this show.
AHHHH!!!! Thank you for posting the full thinggggg!!!!!!
I never knew a romantic song could be bad-ass
Probably one of the best animes I've seen, and I've missed out on a lot of great shows. But I'm glad UA-cam randomly recommended this to me. Now that I've watched the whole series, I feel emotionally exhausted and empty lol.
I miss you so fucking bad.
I just discovered this show a few days ago and the theme song got me hooked.
I start today to watch love the music
its driving me insane that i cant find this song on spotify at all.
このアニメ一番大好き

This song is so sad 🥺🥺🥺 and beautiful
Imaginen que los recuerdos se pueden extraer y transportar (como en una USB), y pueden adquirir un cuerpo, casi como trasplantar un cerebro. Y la consciencia? Los recuerdos vividos? Los sentimientos?. Es interesante
Everytime I hear this, I imagine everyone from the serie floating in space.
Seriously, this is the kind of anime that you watch entirely and it makes you see the world differently...
life is okay, i like my memories and they make me happy, i hope you are happy too
Loved this show!!!
God... Hearing this after watching the show is so weird
hauntingly beautiful
its over
Legitimately the most beautiful song ive ever heard.
2020 almost September and i just started watching this anime from 2008
It’s been 9 month since I watched it giving me nostalgic feelings :| :/
Episode 3.if you want to ugly cry.
Best 'feels' ever.
this (Kaiba) is the first (and probably only, since most animes have artstyles that i think tried too hard to be realistic) anime (not aimed at children) that i actually enjoy, i've watched 3/12 episodes, going to watch the 4th soon.
Easy 9.5/10 for me, i just wish the series have around 20-30 episodes, instead of just 12
Beautiful story
Half the time I watched this show I could barely see the art because I was constantly tearing up
This song is so beautiful
これ好きだったな
This song takes me back to a better time.
This comment was made 2 years ago... holy fuck where is time going.
I know it's nothing like it but this song reminds me of the opening from Cyber Six.
GamerVSGamerShow i actually agree a ton, they're very similar.
