PSA for modders: If you haven’t yet, definitely brush the rehaut. I did mine and it ties the watch together just like you said! It was easy enough after removing the crystal, I just did it with a little bit of green scotch brite pad. I suspect that the mirror polish it comes with negatively affects the dial and indices because it allows light to reflect in a really unnatural way from horizontal angles, which made the indexes stand out from the sides in this really bizarre way. That is now gone and replaced with a much more natural look with the brushing, and thank you sir for the inspiration!

We have the same taste. I have a SARB033 also and I gotta say they compliment each other well. However If I had to pick only one I think I would stick with the SARB033 just because I am a Seiko fanboy.
I love this watch, I bought the silver one, very comfortable on the wrist, it gains less than 2 seconds per day, the movement is beautiful, for the price it is a steal, the lume is incredible, there is a lot of quality and beauty here.

Absolute fire!!!! That price-point is an extremely good value for this piece. I've looked at similar style GADA watches from Citizen, w/ the exact same specs and level of finishing, for well north of $1,000 MSRP. IDK why, but I just really like Miyota movements, myself. I realize that the winding isn't as efficient, being uni-directional, but there's something about them aesthetically, that I find appealing. Especially the "9000 series." It's funny.......just last night, I was looking at the solar-quartz, "Corso, BM7330-59L" thinking, "man, I really need to bring a Citizen into the collection." This would be exactly what I'm looking for. To my knowledge, Citizen doesn't produce a large number of mechanical pieces, and typically those containing a "9000 series," can be quite pricey. As you've said, the addition of the dura-tech coating, allows for someone to purchase this piece from the used market, w/ an added level of confidence. This really is EXACTLY, what I was looking for. I discovered the Seiko SAGZ079. It's a solar-quartz, w/ radio-controlled, atomic timekeeping, which is another area that my collection is lacking. The only issue w/ that one for me, is that at it's price-point, it's in direct competition w/ the Casio, Oceanus S100. Uuugghh......so many watches, so little money!!!! I feel your pain brotha. Although, I think the lack of sufficient funds is what makes each watch that much more special so it's a bittersweet problem to have. If I had unlimited money then I think I would lose that passion after buying every single watch I ever wanted.
That Oceanus is class though. It's been on my wishlist for years and I just never got around to buying it. After reading your comment, maybe I should... Damn you LOL. We're all just a bunch of enablers here. Always great to read your insight🙌

There is a reason Citizen is my favorite brand. They just do so much right at such an reasonable price. 37mm is perfect on my wrist as well (8'' wrist too haha). They just fit better and wrist articulation is not restricted. The lume pattern is exactly the same as my Perpetual World Timer and that is pretty good too! I know what you mean... Once its scratched I keep noticing it but it only bugs me on my favorite watches.

Not a criticism, but a question; why an automatic over an Eco Drive for a GADA?
Many reviewers attempt to be "objective" when doing reviews. It is your channel, it
is your watch, I think excellent you like the watch and let your viewers know it. 👍
Quartz/Solar quartz will always be the logical choice for accurate time keeping. There is no competition there. However with that being said, many appreciate watches that can achieve "accurate enough" timekeeping based purely on mechanical motion powered by calories. It's an illogical choice that makes this enthusiasm more of an art than a science.
I prefer push pull crowns on non-divers. Theres this belief, especially it seems among people new to the hobby, that screw down is always better, and always more premium - as if push pull is a cost cutting measure. Sorry, but I like being able to wind on a whim, and easily set the time or hack to adjust.

It looks like a 38mm watch. I have 19.6cm wrists and personally I love how this watch fits.
