The fact that you purchased and are so excited about the artist sketches, made me drag out my old (40+) art school sketches, choose one, frame it and find a place to display it in my home. They have been buried in the back of the closet for all these years!
LOL! The double-headed eagle was the symbol of the Hapsburg Empire in AUSTRIA, not Australia. That piece looks quite old.
Laura I have been watching you for a long time….so happy to see you at 110K…..your wonderful personality and interaction with Jessie, Maya, make the show so worth watching….and the travel to Italy topping on the cake and looking forward to more…..continuing successes coming your way for sure!🥰❤️
Yo Laura! I'm from Montreal,Qc. I'm an artist 🍷 cheers luv. I started thrifting because of your informative videos!! I'm in the process of starting my own business... girl the items I've found are beyond me!! So wish we were neighbors. Love ya!!
Congrats on your new business!!! 🙌 🍷 so excited for you!!
The Raymor is a Chocolate pot which would have had a smaller original lid. The smaller pieces are a sugar bowl and creamer. The complete original 4 piece set; pot, original smaller lid, sugar and creamer are worth about $400.00. **depending on design and rarity.
The gestural drawings are a total flashback to days in art classes, during college. I threw all of mine out since they were drawn on newsprint, not great quality and moving so many places during my 35+ years since then. Nice to see the appreciation in the work.
I have 2 Frederick weinburg giraffes i thrifted the pair of them for $7.99 and they both have his initials signed on them.
I recently came across your channel and for some reason I was just drawn to your channel. I started watching and now I’m hooked. I have to tell you that I’ve never thrifted and I’ve donated a lot to thrift stores, but never shop there. You and I have different styles, but I’m in love with your style now. You are so incredibly fun, bubbly and infectiously positive! Since watching I’ve decided to spend more time styling my house in my style. I’d love to know how to sell some if my stuff. I live in a very small house and I have too much stuff. My dad was an artist and an art teacher. We grew up in the Bay Area of California. His specialty was raku pottery. He did his master degree in it. I have tons of his art in my home. I think he may have sold a little bit in the 70’s so if you ever come across some of his pottery, his name was John M. Dalton. He did a variety of pottery and not just raku. I’ve never had a desire to thrift, but I may have to try it just to see if I find anything great. It seems like whenever I have gone to a thrift store, I just see stuff that I wouldn’t want or I may have already got rid if. I love how you know what you’re looking for. Sometimes you pick up an item and I just say, “ugh!” But then you show it styled and it’s marvelous! You certainly have a talent. One thing I would love to come across is a Franciscan Atomic Starburst pottery item from the 50’s in mint condition. Of course I’d like to find it at Goodwill pricing. I’ve seen them on EBay and they seem very collectible. I live in Colorado and I’m not sure our thrift stores are as good as yours. I’m sure you know the right ones to go to and the right times to shop! Anyway, I just wanted to tell you how you always cheer me up and make my day!
Same!!! I love what she finds!!! I think it would be so fun and awesome to be able to do what she does!!!
I lived in Boulder, Co. for years back in the day. I’m originally from California, but yes, they had barnyard sales when I was there. Look them up in your area, my son lives in Denver…good luck..and hope you find some Close by you now ❣️
One of her videos showed up in my feed 2 days ago and I have been binge watching since!!!!
Same here, just found her videos about a month ago! She has made me interested in redecorating my house again🌷
Every video I watch is the same thing...Dang I wish I found that! Lol I love her style super neat.
You should do a video where you show a shelf at a store and see if we can guess which item you grab. Because I swear you're going to grab one thing, but you grab another, and I was way off! I'm addicted to watching and learning so much! Thank you!
Where I come from this is called an Antique Fair. Everything is picked, edited and high end. A flea market is in the parking lot of a drive in movie and one must pick through tons of junk to occasionally find a treasure.
Same. These prices were quite high and booths too well curated to be a flea market. I would call it an antique market.
Love these moments in your stylish world and I wish they were longer🥰 On the few occasions I go thrifting myself ( I’m in a wheelchair and my home are already full of finds from back in the 60ths) I reflect on findings and often think: Laura would love that and I have to restrain myself not buying it 🤣🙏🏼
Wow 😮omg beautiful 🤩 !
Thank you for showcasing this!! I used to sell alongside Lynn when there was a GRAND MARKETPLACE (Roomsugar was my shop!) ❤ Now I just live my RESELL life through YOU!! I just love you and have since your days in Beaverton!!
Oh my gosh! Way back! 😁 I remember Roomsugar! ❤️
I am learning so much from you sweet lady. I am recovering from a health crisis so I have plenty of time to be watching you. I know that by springtime I will be totally recovered and ready to get out and test the skills I am learning. Central Texas is so much different than the West Coast I know. Continue your travels ❤️
3rd
GOD BLESS YOU SARAH!!!! PRAYERS FOR A SPEEDY RECOVERY!
I saw the lady! lol One leg crossed over the other lookin haute. I love treasure hunting, so you’re saving me from breaking my bank while I live vicariously through you.
Wonderful vlog laura l love your taste in things, that jewellery was dead gorgeous 😍 ❤ ♥ 👌 😋 😀
So glad you found your matching Italian pottery pieces. The 3 together are a perfect trio :) I definitely see a lady in the piece of wood!
Laura, what a score!
Ever time I watch your channel I think you have out done yourself. ❤
But each time you prove me wrong. Thanks for sharing!
When you picked up the tiny wooden vase with legs I said “I want that!!”.
Great finds you came across ❤
Thanks for sharing, the turquoise items are beautiful as well.
I see the lady! How neat, love to go out with you searching for treasures 🤗love you girl, I get excited when your posts come up 🥰
So cool you ran into Joycelyn and Andrew!
Hi Laura! One of your videos showed up on my feed 2 days ago and I have been binge watching ever since!! I grew up in a mid century ranch and really appreciate the style. Love watching you shop and all the explanations and history of things you buy. Absolutely LOVE your new home and how you decorated it! I also love the fact that Jesse has the same appreciation of your style. Would love to see a video of your hat and ring collection!!!!!
I see a lady.
I am so happy you found the extra pieces to you striped set.
The jewelry, was so exciting 😍
The Raymoa pottery, actually has a Scandinavian/ Asian look.
So wonderful to have found you!!! Thank you for sharing you knowledge and helping all of us to appreciate the things past!! Your Australian fan. 🦘
How glorious!! ❤❤
It is so fun to shop vicariously through you! I also saw an abstract lady in the wooden sculpture, definitely. That was the very first thing I saw in it. Loved this video!
The ? military brass collar I doubt very much it was Australian! Our original inhabitants the Aboriginals didn't wear that type of adornment at all and we were taken over in 1770 by the British so 🤷 don't know where the Australia reference came from...🤣
Great market and another excellent video Laura.
Maybe he meant Austria? I know I’ve seen jewelry from Austria that had the double eagle on it 🤷🏻♀️
Yeah I think it may be Austria, I know for sure it's not from down here in australia haha
@@leftcoastrevivals Totally agree 😊
You look marvelous Laura! Loved all of your amazing finds and love seeing you so tickled finding the Raymoor.
2022 has been going great 4 yall!!So glad your channel is growing so fast!!😼
So good to see you, Jesse and Maya at Farmhill Market Days!!! Always great to catch up, and glad you found some great vintage 😊
It was a fun market!! Your space was amazing 👏
Can you make a beginner video explaining how to get started and what selling at a flea market is like and pricing for a flea market?
Really learning so much about Terquoise jewelry! Love your gift of sharing all your knowledge and your choices are so amazing!!! Thanks for making my days!
Horseshoe ring always have it facing up. Never have the horse shoe opening down it’s bad luck
My grandparents had those wheat glasses!🥰
I had that popsicle stick lamp back in the early 70s. It took a bit of a beating when I moved, and sticks started falling off. It was fun while it lasted.
Love your finds!!!
Your channel is very inspiring and I love how kind you are to everyone! ❤
Good point about Frederic Weinberg, Maya. I found a FW-style piece with the owl and chariot, Googled for the original, but decided not to waste my time looking: I think he's mythological!
Nice finds! The matching striped pottery is so cool.
Don't know if you will see this, but today I went to the thrift store near me. Thought of you the whole time. No decent pottery, jewelry or glassware, but they did have lots of furniture and clothing. Found a nice dark red 60% wool car coat but, like you, have many coats and passed on it. May end up going back. Did buy one pink hooded pullover shirt for $3.99.
Thank you, Laura...for the trip, the education, and the positively. (I saw a lady in the wood piece too.)
A "close" street is more likely a cul-de-sac, rather than an alley in the UK....although it is sometimes used just to sound "posh".
My mom had that brown round wicker lamp too. thats too funny
There is alot of cool stuff there!, wow, what fun
Watching your videos always cheers me up, Thank you!
Laura!! I spent the day in Silverton thrifting and antiquing and I kept thinking of you with a ton of amazing pieces you would love! You have to go back again! Don't miss Somewhere In Time, Red Bench and Goodwill!💛
Good Show.
I've gone into thrift shops for years looking for a bargain. I now watch myself carefully and lovingly reach out for some studio pottery and think... I'm copying Laura!
Congratulations 🎉your so amazing it’s that your enthusiasm jumps out so much its like you being here and shaking me wow look at this 🤭it’s been a Blessed Journey & much much more to come also TY for taking us along GBY 🙏🙏😇
Nice video and congratulations on reaching the 100,000 mark (and more). You tube will be sending that displayable award soon I imagine.
Hi Laura! I saw the abstract lady as soon as I looked at the sculpture, too!:) I wanted to go to that Hillsboro market, but I ended up having to work:(. I love that you found more pieces to the Italian striped pottery! Score!! Awesome finds, as usual. Thank you for sharing! xo
I am so glad I found you!! I love to shop for unique items!! I absolutely love your content!!
YYYEESS! I cannot believe you found more pieces! So excited for you!!!
🤍🖤

OhMyGosh 1st I want to say that is soooooooo amazing that your top matches your wallpaper!!! Love it!!! 2nd That flea market was amazing! I'm from California and remember going to a lot of them with my mom and Granny!!! ♥️♥️♥️ Now I live in Iowa 😐 so I don't know of any like you find around me!!! I would have such a hard time not buying everything for myself!!! I love everything you find!!! 🤗🤗🤗 Ty for sharing!!!
Very nice and pretty
Love that your new jacket matches the room you’re in!
Wonderful finds Laura.
If you're ever near Foster and 70th pop into Carnelian Coffee. The coffee is superb and the store is full of rocks!
I am near there often as my son lives down off of Woodstock & 65th. I will take your recommendation and come by some time. I’m not Laura Caldwell, but I’d love to check it out:)
Sweet!
Waaw that skirt and I loved the carved lamp
That horse is very cute
Grate finds
I immediately saw a “Lady” in that wooden piece & it looked like she was sitting with her knees up in a sweet sitting pose! Great minds think alike 😊🎃
Hi Laura. I love the abstract horse. I also love the blue and white jacket you were wearing today you nails went perfect with it.
Love the sketches you found! I only found one of a nice burly man once and it’s one of my fave finds!
Looking at that fabulous popsicle stick made lamp shade! I only made a jewelry box at camp age 8. The idea has come a long way.
Cool finds..
Good morning happy Friday morning and I loved your channel and your vlogs is amazing
New Subscriber
The "Doug" piece reminded me of the 80's video game "Q-bert"
I seen the lady in the wood piece. It looked like her arm and her hand was giving the piece sign.
Would you show us how you would hang a old rug on the wall ?
Fun show! You look good matching the room like that.
Blessed in your finds today! Loved all if them! So exciting!♥️🙏💋🙏♥️

Your new RAYMORE treasures are fantastic!! Isn’t is just so funny how when we stay true to what we LOVE, the Universe brings us more treasures!! 🙌
Spelled Raymor.
@@agomodern Well thank you for the spelling correction. 🥰
I had the wheat glasses you and Jesse used to have, but I bought mine in the 70’s.😊 great video as always.
Laura, I just love love live your ring with the turquoise and onix.
If you ever find one similar please remember me 🤞😊
Great video :) Cute to see your excitement with the pottery set :) Quick question-- Does Maya have a channel or site she sells on?
She does not at this time ❤️ I’m encouraging her though! 😁
You have come so far young women. ☺
😘
Love that you found the matching Raymor pieces!! So exciting! 😃
Love all the rings you got. I am a ring lover.
Thank you for showing that Bakelite bangles exhibit. I used to collect Bakelite jewelry, radios, salt and pepper shakers and anything made of it. Sold a lot of my Bakelite jewelry back to the dealers I bought it from 20 years later and made a huge profit. It's still so beautiful so seeing you film those took my breath away.
Hello Annette, you sound like you are my vintage. How do we tell the difference between plastic and Bakelite jewellery, you might know. Thanks, Janice, Australia.
@@janicecooper875 Hi! One way is to just rub it with your finger......Bakelite has a specific chemical smell. Intuitively, once you can tell (it's also a denser plastic and has real heft and weight to it and even a sound when clanged together) knowing it becomes intuitive. Some man bought some from me and he brought a cream with him to tell real Bakelite but I don't know what that was. I bet if you go online and just look up Bakelite and how to tell whether or not it's real you'll find something. No other plastic feels like it. It also gets darker (the whites turn to a mellow yellow, blue turns to a darkish green). And the carving is very hand-made looking and not perfect. Good luck with your Bakelite hunting....it's addictive. When a dear friend/dealer I knew was in hospice (he had aids before the pills saved lives) I visited him and brought a bag of Bakelite jewelry and his eyes lit up and we sat there and fondled the Bakelite jewelry. Oh, also, get books on the subject; they'll tell you a lot. I had dozens of books.
@@PossumLover1111 Thanks Annette, you have been most helpful. I haven't started the search as yet but think l just might. Thanks so much Janice xx
@@janicecooper875 You're very welcome. It's a delightful thing to collect.Addictive too.
@@janicecooper875 you can use Simichrome cleaner to test too. IF it turns yellow it’s Bakelite!
Because of the cream and sugar set, I'm thinking that might be a tea or coffee pot with a cup to go with it. Just a thought.
Loved all your finds!
Another fun video--thanks!
Curto muito seus vídeos!!🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Love watching flea market shopping. Nice finds
The double eagle collar, the way the feathers stand, look more like Byzantine Empire, rather than Austrian, as others mentioned below.
First thing I saw was a lady in the lump of wood, know exactly what you saw, so funny!!
I saw a penguin ice bucket in my travels yesterday and thought of you, Laura! ;-)
I saw the lady before you said it. Great piece!
Love the Italian pottery pieces!
I saw the lady as well.
At 3:25 the collar is probably imperial Russian. The symbol at the front is the two headed eagle which the tsars used used as their symbol. I bet that’s valuable. Not sure why the guy would thought it was Australian, did he mix Australia with imperial Austria, perhaps?
Love the Turquoise Necklaces and Rings.🌻🎃😊
❤ all the turquoise Jewerly!
I love vintage turquoise!!!
George Harrison Close is a small housing estate.
Just discovered you and am hooked! You do a great job showing the pieces that draw you in. And... guess what? I think you've got a Horace Iule Zuni pendant with that beautiful four-stone turquoise piece. And it's worth a lot. :-)
Thank you! I think you are right! 😍
