Canadian physio here, love listening to your podcasts/videos!
Wonderful interview and practical guidance! Thank you
Thanks for your kindness and great information.
Glad it was helpful!
Listening this in the car while i'm traveling from one patient to another
Good one topic sir ... keep up the good work
Nice and usefull thanks You
Thank you both, really interesting.
Have been walking around with a tear in my right meniscus for 1,5 years. Just have been operated on that leg. Have some pfps on my left leg now that started after a misstep a few months ago. MRI came back good so that's nice, think I might just have some lateral muscles/bands on my left that are too tight because of my limping when my meniscus was still torn. Also have some lateral tracking. This video made a lot clear for me about my knee. The exercises my physical therapist gave me make a lot more sense aswell. Hope I will be better soon!
is your left knee doing better now? i am in a similar situation and the pain has been lingering for 2-3 months so i would be curious about your situation
I have learned a lot. Thank you for the update.
Me at 34:00.. would love to swap my Physiotherapist for Claire. What a lovely, knowledgeable woman. Listened in while I did my physio 😄
She’s great 😊
For the kinetic chain, are you talking about a single leg squat or double leg squat or a normal walking?
Kinetic chain refers to all muscles within that "chain" or group - and working them simultaneously with adequate co-ordination. That could be a double or single leg squat, or a step up/back/down what ever you want - the emphasis is that you're not working muscles in isolation and you're addressing compound movements.
What can be done about bone bruising in the Trochlear Groove and Chondromalacia? The pain from these conditions is unbearable for me.
Did anyone here actually heal Hoffa's Fat pad syndrome? Mine was caused by knee locking. I have stopped doing so, any other recommendations? She sells her course for 250 euros... which is absurd and unaffordable :/
Is there any research for older population like 45 years old can gets PFPS , Please ?
Age doesn’t discriminate with PFPS
I have a lot of the symptoms described here in one knee. Runner. I need to see a professional about. Where do I start? GP?
For any personal health or rehab questions we recommend to consult with our partners at yourphysio.online for a remote physiotherapy consultation.
You might be able to self refer to NHS physiotherapy depending on where you live, or you might have to see your GP and get a referral. Probably going to have a long waiting list unless you go private though.
I know your comment is old, but looking back, I would go private if possible for a consultation. The NHS recommended me tendinopathy exercises for my knees and I ended up with worse pain (patellofemoral arthritis) in my right knee. It took me going private to be assessed properly (im at 33:17... patellar alta) and an MRI scan booked. immediately.
What kind of tape does she uses?
I am interested to know why Claire thinks a static wall squat is isometric?
Because you are (for the most part) not shortening or lengthening your muscle during the exercise right?
@@neles74 are all the entire quad working the same isometricrally
no matter how great and vital it is to listen to the patient, when you have just 30 min appointment to assess and write down the notes, it is practically impossible to hear out every patient's full story
put adam meakins and claire robertson on the same podcast
Stunning.....outstanding effort to pad out what could be said in 3 minutes into 1 hour.
Haha
Please do this for me my man, give me an extract

Would you like me to treat your patients as well, so you have more time for socials?
@@helicart definitely man, make sure I'm keeping the moolah tho
@@helicart you make it sound so simple, why not?
10k in patients and still can't pronounce it.
Guys Guys Guys. This is not the cafe discussion. Think education ! We value greatly your good work BUT Some, many? of your viewers are NOT from England, PLEASE SPEAK MORE SLOWLY. By the divine grace of the Lord and his physio helpers, thank you.
The discussion is already recorded. Focus better, or set your playback speed to 0.75X and turn on closed captioning. You’re welcome.
