So glad the operation went well! What a lovely little cameo off daisy, she’s adorable. I love the little gnome. It’s so cute!

Love the strawberry gnome! Super cute!
I really want the Aquatic Amigirumi book now. Her designs remind me of the PicaPau books. The details are awesome.
The Rowan hooks are beautiful! Clover Amour and Tulip are my favorite hooks. Although I like the Dots set from We Crochet as well. I been crocheting for 3 years and love it!!! I learned to crochet from Sarah Zimmerman’s book ‘Cute Critters’ book. I’d like to try knitting someday.

There’s an Aquatic Amigurumi 2 coming out in September too 🙂
I have a couple of PicaPau books but haven’t made anything yet , mainly due to time .
It was my mission last year to learn Amigurumi , and I love it . 🙂

Glad the op went well. When my discs were slipped 35 years ago I was just strapped in a corset with iron rods in it. It was the glorious shade of institute pink so nothing to get excited about 🤣 Amazing what technology does now.

It really is amazing , he went to be reprogrammed last Friday and they just tapped away on a laptop and he could feel what they were doing . They just tweaked it a bit and explained his remote control a bit better to him so he can alter
It himself . It really is so clever and life changing . Hopefully he will be drug free now and that will be totally worth it no more days just out of it with the strong medication 🤞🤞
Iv got my husband back 🙂

@@Institcheswithjulie that’s so fantastic. I have to take pain relief and I’ve had 4 tummy bleeds so there’s a price to pay.

I love that book but I don't make small things. I have a friend who does. That little shop looks so inviting. We have a Hobbycraft that opened last autumn but they don't have a great deal of wool

I like Hobbycraft but it’s very generic , but they do stock the women’s institute Aran which I love and the Hayfield spirit . It just depends what you want doesn’t it 🙂

Just found your channel. Your enthusiam is lovely and the book was inspirational. I cant crochet as I have an injured finger but I do like to knit. I used to live in Hornsea years ago and loved it, I also have 2 children who live in Hull. Looking forward to your next video .

Hello Julie, nice to meet you. Just subbed. I’m the same, have to knit or craft, can’t sit without making something. Love the gnome, so cute. I’d like to do one for a friend, they are appealing. Can you recommend a yarn for amigurumi, I find all cotton can be a bit sore on the fingers. Might try the WI tweed. I like the James Brett stonewashed too. I use knit pro pins but the hook I’ve got splits the yarn easily. Perhaps it is just a duff one. Will look in again. Tfs 😊

Hi Mary , it’s great to have you here 🙂.
I really like the schjeepes catona ( it has like a sheen on it ) but like you said it is hard on the hands . The other ones I like are Cotton Kings 8/4, Paintbox cotton dk is lovely and also Drops Paris is nice too .
The Rowan hooks with the birch handle are nice and I do like Clover 2.5 for my amigurumi . Hope this helps 🙂
