Easiest way to think is each node is a mini program, some are very easy with few parameters, others... Good luck! Then you mix and match the nodes. The more nodes you know and master the more powerful you become. Like a video tame each node is a quest that give you xp for the next level
I'm glad I found this. It's a smart breakdown for getting into Houdini - which I avoided learning for years due to the usual reasons. Now, I'm working through a basic "fundamentals" course but your approach makes a lot of sense for how to move into the next steps. Can I request a list of the tutorials you used as visuals for this video? I'd love to use a few of them to learn fun Houdini effects. Thanks!
Cant, takes a life and every release is like a new software, is somhard to keep up with amount of nodes!!!! But is amazing software sadly also means means you need to make your tools
Thank you for making thiss, just got houdini apprentice will do this step after finishing my thesis next month.
@@nathanieljonathan4275 I’ve got a tutorial series coming soon so stay tuned!

At some point in your Houdini learning journey, if you aren’t feeling depressed, then you’re probably doing something wrong!
Very true, but you got to power through it!
@RenderReality That is true, there's no other feeling than being able to use Houdini efficiently, it's one of the greatest achievement.
