-@@andrewg3768 That's the thing. Whatever you find is actually NOT bad - you labeling a past event "good" or "bad" is a personal judgement. You don't need to do ANYTHING OTHER THAN accept that these events from your past HAPPENED and that they are neither GOOD or BAD. Remember: every event that takes place in our universe is NEUTRAL by default UNTIL it is compared against a set of values. In this mental exercise, you are simply applying this universal law to past events from your own life. That's the gist of MDMA Therapy.
So I have all these fears mentioned, what am I supposed to do about it? Go ahead and do it anyways? I almost know for a fact if I try these substances ill have a horrifying experience. Now I know "if you go into it with that mentality of course you'll have a bad trip" - I just cant help it. I'm the anxious always worrying, fearful, slightly paranoid, neurotic type. From another perspective maybe a 'bad' trip is what I need to experience for it to be the correct trip, and therefore the right trip. I know I have a lot of psychological 'issues' as well unconscious baggage to deal with but i'm afraid ill go insane if I try these substances. I used to deal with marijuana and had some pretty bad trips/psychotic episodes. I feel the only time ill be ready to try these substances is when i've truly had enough suffering and am ready to 'die'. With that being said I want to overcome my fearful conditioning, but am afraid of going insane or having some severely traumatic experiences.
Stop being afraid. Fear is just a mental state. You are scared of nothing my friend just have a good environment good people and do it. nothing bad will happen. YOU are in control always remember that.
This is why it would be good if your first experience could be with a therapist or experienced trip sitter. Unfortunately Woodstock's Freak-Out Tent is decades in the past and light years from current attitudes.
There's also a group of people who have a healthy fear and respect for potent psychedelic drugs, like me. I like to use acid, but it should be used responsibly. Just remember that drugs are not like toys, they are more like fast cars, or in the case of psychedelics, sky diving. MDMA on the other hand, Molly, is not much like Lucy. I wouldn't group them together.
_"psychedelics are like fast cars or sky diving"_ Not really. Firstly, there's no evidence that fast cars or sky diving provide any real therapeutic benefits. And secondly, statistics show that there are more road accidents and fatalities from sky diving per year than psychedelics. A better analogy is to say that psychedelics are like the anti-malware, anti-rootkit, anti-bloatware of the human operating system.
enormousforce You are missing the point of the analogy. denormal is referencing that psychedelics should not be viewed trivially (like toys) and should be handled seriously. Just like a fast car can be very dangerous if you do not know what you are doing, psychedelics with an improper mindset or setting can create a bad trip which will be much more harmful than therapeutic, thereby destroying the original purpose for betterment !
Matt Stromberg Yes, I suppose that's a good analogy. Anyone can get into a car.. and a psychedelic is kind of like that... It can take you places... but you should at least know how to drive safely...follow the recommendations.. dosages.. purity, set and setting. etc
I'm not afraid of the ok a littke scared only because I wouldn't wanrt get worse but the worse thing is probably taking ones own life so I'm scared that I can't get MDMA therrapy and then it will be too late to save my life or and cure ptsd. It's not just that but the longer it takes to heal more pain I feel as I can't have a good life and feel loved be loved!
lmfao , NO. people are scared to do drugs because they think they will die or something bad will happen. The first time before i did any drug and it was introduced to me , i though danm i hear so much bad shit happening to people doing these drugs like overdose or bad trip that im scared to take because i dont know what the feeling is going to be like.
Um, YES, many are definitely afraid of what they'll discover about themselves. Psychedelics have a known capacity to peel back the layers of stupidity, ignorance, and suppressed material that people have bottled inside themselves. I mean, HELLO.. LSD and MDMA were being applied to psychotherapy long before raves were even invented. lol.
Plutonium Boss The surface level excuses that people invent or regurgitate are just a defensive mechanism to absolve them from dealing with deeper layers of their personality and unconscious garbage. Even Freud himself pointed out that the purpose of psychotherapy was to make the unconscious conscious.
enormousforce The average person doesnt know what Psychedelics can do. They know nothing about its psychological abilities. Im telling you from personal experience. *Ill repeat* the average person doesn't know that Psychedelics can "open your mind" or " become conscious".. You might hear but you never know what the true feeling of opening up your mind until you try it. It isnt facing yourself. Before i did any Psychedelic. My first thought wasnt " oh hey, i dont want to face the truth of reality". You cant know that feeling to even judge it before you do it . Before someone does psychedelics , they dont know what exposing the reality of things mean to even fear it. Someone reading this right now sees me saying that psychedelics can open your mind. But they are wondering what the hell im talking about when i mean "opening up your mind". They might think we sound crazy just talking about it "opening your mind"
some people know subconsciously that they wouldn't want to meet themselves. and that's what psychedelics allow you to do
how do you heal with mdma then as what if yiu find inside is bad?

@@doctordilankaDo you think being abused is a good thing? I certainly would say it is a bad thing it is not just an opinion just the truth!
@@andrewg3768 Abuse is not good, but the good in it is that you learn from it, set boundaries etc...

It makes some "scary" perfect sense 👌❤
