No Anville town for the Steel gym? Their whole thing is that they’re the train town, and the gym could’ve been in the roundhouse where you walk through inactive trains to reach the end

They clearly count, though sadly the dark type is mistaken for steel because his ace is Bisharp, but he's a dark type specialist. There is no Steel type specialist yet

That would be cool. As far as I know the only guaranteed in-game shiny for a trainer is that one in Alola with the shiny Exeggcute that gives you six nuggets afterwards.

This is my favorite video in this series so far; it speaks to how well thought-out the Unova games are, having a sequel that fills in some of the region's blanks. I know I'm not the only one, but I really wish more Pokemon games had sequels, even if it's a generation later like Gold/Silver were to Red/Blue.
That's a good point; It would be really interesting to pick up story threads from say Hoenn in a new Pokemon game, even if it's in another region. And more than just, "Oh Annabelle's here!" more actual story like you were saying with Team Rocket's direct continuation...

Seriously, what fairy-related name used in media _isn't_ from Midsummer Night's Dream. Titania, Oberon, and Puck are easily three of the most common names to give characters with some fae connection and they all originate from that one play.

Puck can be one of the last gym leaders and using Mega Audino, which adds Fairy type. I would do Fairy Wind instead of Dazzling Gleam, especially if Puck is early, since DG is 80 BP, while FW is 40, so DG is a little bit OP early on.
Fairy type should have been Lacunosa Town, given the legend/mythical nature of the city and the lore surrounding it. Steel type should have definitely been Anville Town. Regardless of if it’s out of the way or not. Cianwood City and Dewford Town were both out of the way but we still made the journey there to get their respective badges.
Goated region. I wish there was a region with multiple unused gyms that change. Like imagine if after you beat Galar you can go back to gyms and fight the other versions gyms

White 2 is not like Crystal, Emerald, or even Ultra Sun. It is a completely different story, with some of the same locations. I would definitely go with the original White for a first time. Especially since it has the "only new Pokemon" gimmick, so you can experience that like everyone else did back in the day...

If a Fairy gym were early enough to give you Cut, it's WAY too early for a higher-powered move like Dazzling Gleam. It should give something weaker like Fairy Wind, Disarming Voice, or Draining Kiss.
I think for Kalos, maybe a ghost type gym leader or even a flying type gym leader since Kalos had those unique sky battle where you can only use flying type pokemon.
Yancy and Curtis would make for great fairy types and the PokeStar Studios would be the Gym. They are both actors who embellish storytelling and they both trade a Ralts and Togepi to the player with Nancy also trading a Mawile.
it's a shame the Dark type was already covered, as I really wanted to fix that terrible Lock Capsule/Relocator distribution problem, and properly give out the TM for Snarl...

I dont understand why you limited yourself to gen5 only pokemon for rock types when for the others you allowed other gens, especially qhen the town you based it in is only in BW2 the game that normalized mixed gens in unova
