@@geraldkimtago7524 Sriracha chili sauce or a Thai chili paste. Sometimes Sriracha can make a decent alternative to gochujang, depending on the need. If the chili paste is simply being used as a heat source and not starring in an authentic Korean recipe, you can give consideration to Sriracha.Jan. 6, 2016 from an article

When i was an exchange student in South Korea, this was my most favorite food.
I've been wondering for 3 years what it was, and Maangchi never disappoints.
When I watch this lady, I really feel happy.
I have become a devoted fan. After Michelle Zauner raved about Maangchi and Korean cuisine in her fantastic book Crying in H Mart, I am now raving about Maangchi too. I spent an hour in our fairly local Oriental supermarket today to stock my pantry as I learn to cook these dishes I’ve become very passionate about just by the book’s descriptions and now watching these wonderful videos. Maangchi is absolutely adorable and makes me believe I can cook these yummy dishes I can’t even pronounce.

Finally someone who doesn’t use a rice cooker to cook delicious rice. Don’t get me wrong, I own one, but it’s nice on a show to see that a cook has skills when they’re cooking rice the old fashion good old way.
This makes me so happy! This was actually the first Korean dish I ate in a Korean restaurant and since then I have been in love with Korean food! I've been making this exact dish almost everyday. I just add a table spoon of oyster sauce.
Oooo how is it like with the oyster sauce??
@@Kyohkim1 Honestly the difference for my palette was very slight, but I am far more used to adding oyster sauce to the dish than without.
Both ways are definitely great IMHO.

It's sooo~~ good for busy mom. I usually make jeyukbokkeum in a big pot, and kids just can eat whenever they hungry 😋 🙃 😅

I know this is gonna sound a bit weird but for most of my life I've been very averse to eating vegetables, something I realized I had to change when I moved out by myself to study. Now I'm in my final year of my studies, and you have have helped me tremendously in overcoming my food aversions! I now cook with vegetables I never thought I would like, and I've discovered that cooking is so much more than just chicken and rice xD I no longer fear dinner parties, and I'm so much braver when it comes to trying new foods!
