Greetings from Denmark here. The toothbrush is actually meant to be a one time use, disposeable toothbrush. The lack of toothpaste is because its already applied to the brush, just make it wet and brush away. Which also explain why there is one in every package

Awesome. I still have it. I think I'll do a quick short on just the toothbrush to try it out.

@@ReadinessRations awesome. I think it comes from the whole "a happy Soldier is a fighting Soldier"
Also, we can both agree that getting to feel like a normal human being with a trimmed beard (your knife should always be sharp enough for that) and brushed teeth is a great morale booster. It also gives a sense of normality, of everyday life, thus extending the effective operational time of the soldiers

Yeah, we used to use them afterwards for cleaning various things. Nice for getting dirt out from the seams in your combat boots or mud from hard-to-get places in the uniform and a nice additional tool for cleaning your weapon. Granted, that was back in 1990 and the issued cleaning kits we got was horrible :D

Hey! A few comments from a Danish soldier.
There is already pre-applied dry toothpaste to the bristles of the toothbrush. So just stick it in and get brushing.
Putting cocoa drink powder in the müsli is awesome.
The all-grain biscuits are very good at making you not shit. Very nice.
I always put the spicy sauce in. No matter what. Love that stuff.
We got some better bread now, nutella instead of peanut butter and beef jerky instead of raw bites. Also got some pretty good wet pouch dinners. :D
I like our rations a lot. I would not be able to function well on American MRE's.
    I liked your video!

Thumbs up. You are one of the few reviewers who realises that the snacks are for on-the-go feeding, not for three course meals at a table. Soldiers, at least British soldiers, rarely have time to sit down and 'construct' sandwiches or heat up main meals. It is also why British soldiers have such big spoons - 'racing spoons', as they are known, get the food down quicker :)

Its very nice if your NCO gives you enough time to heat up water for the meal packets. This rarely happened. Eating some of this stuff cold is horrible and I still feel the urge to vomit whenever I smell something remotely similar to the stale cardboardy smell that greets you when you open the box

RR that was a heck of a ration pack, there was only 1 item there I wouldn’t have been happy with-the mackerel but if you’re hungry it would certainly help! The European rations are certainly a step above both our Canadian and the US MREs, I guess we can hope that our respective procurement groups figure it out one day. Nicely done RR, take care my friend

Mackerel in tomato sauce is All about calories, sme as with tuna. High fat fish means for large amounts of energy in a small package. I Will agree that it is an aquired taste though.

      Nathan and Steve are better

    • @all.day.day-dreamer
      @all.day.day-dreamer 3 роки тому

@@demonprinces17 Wrong, Nathan doesn't gain any traction. His views and subscribers are very low. While he has the best MRE's, he has the worst personality. He rushes his reviews and comes across as being negative in his delivery, style and over-all persona. He is also fragile and sensitive in that if you share your opinion he bullies you by responding and or blocking you if he doesn't agree. I've said some nice things to him but my goal has always been to help him build self confidence which I think he needs. Steve is the best, 1000% passionate about the MRE game. Hence, all of his subs and views. Nathan will never ever get there and Nathan knows this. I am sure Nathan himself questions why he hardly gains and subscribers and or views despite having the best MRE content on the internet, which he does. He just comes across very uninspired. All of his MRE's are "rare" and "very special" what he doesn't understand and probably will never understand is that you can't abuse that type of information. All it does is lead to him being considered pretentious. Also, his level of professionalism is non- existent in that if you listen to him carefully, he is very unfiltered. This is a bad thing in growing a channel. He literally used the word "vomit" the other day in a review and it was just so off-putting that I literally rolled my eyes. Too many cringe moments for me and I am sure others. I often find myself wishing Steve had those MRE's and not Nathan. With Nathan, you will come away not wanting anything to do with that particular MRE. With Steve, you end up jumping on the internet trying to find the MRE he just reviewed. That's something Nathan will never ever get or understand. Earlier in the year, I was showing people some of Steve's reviews and the 5 of us really thought they were excellent content, then, one of Nathan's reviews were there, which we also watched. At the end, all of us were vocal about, the WRONG guy was doing the review, that it should have been Steve. And this sums Nathan up in a nutshell, The MRE's he has is great but, those MRE's have the wrong host.

Ok at least we got the spicy sauce out in the end lol I was getting worried.. For me - a bit of spicy in the fish pouches and then lob the fish onto the bread, they're not meals they're a side or spread/filling for something else and some mad lads mix the fish in with their main obviously depends on the main. I have not seen it done with the beef mash lol I'd have questioned if they were a Russian Op, if they did lol
Edit:: Considering we sold the Danish Virgin Islands to the US between the wars - I'm kinda impressed that they're using cane sugar - it's not something we have access to up in the North here.

The only reason I can think of for inclusion pf ANYTHING from Bridgford, in sny nation's ration packs, is that they won/win the lowest bidder competition. It certainly couldn't be based on palatability of the enclosed "food" products. While it MAY meet the various nutritional requirements, it certainly doesn't meet my taste requirements. Frankly, I think their offerings are horrid. Of course, they are also marketed by Walmart. I believe that is explanation enough.

I like tinned mackerel, but cannot eat fresh mackerel, too many tiny bones! I like canned mackerel better than tuna.
Pork liver pate is excellent, on crackers and as a sandwich.

I was trying to explain that this was a unique ration. I'm well aware I was eating a military ration but it is not common to see such a product in military rations around the world.

I absolute hate liver, but the Liver pâté usually neither smell or taste like liver, at least not around here in (Denmark), he also mentioned that one of them had no liver smell or taste at all, but was more like chunky pork and onion flavored.

I've had much worse of both. This was a really solid ration!

Those biscuits are nothing. They’re super healthy, delicious and again, that’s NOTHING. Many Americans only eat white, soft non-bread bread anyway, so the reaction is expected. (No offence). It’s a nice video!
