Greetings from Denmark here. The toothbrush is actually meant to be a one time use, disposeable toothbrush. The lack of toothpaste is because its already applied to the brush, just make it wet and brush away. Which also explain why there is one in every package
@@ReadinessRations awesome. I think it comes from the whole "a happy Soldier is a fighting Soldier" Also, we can both agree that getting to feel like a normal human being with a trimmed beard (your knife should always be sharp enough for that) and brushed teeth is a great morale booster. It also gives a sense of normality, of everyday life, thus extending the effective operational time of the soldiers
Yeah, we used to use them afterwards for cleaning various things. Nice for getting dirt out from the seams in your combat boots or mud from hard-to-get places in the uniform and a nice additional tool for cleaning your weapon. Granted, that was back in 1990 and the issued cleaning kits we got was horrible :D
Hey! A few comments from a Danish soldier. There is already pre-applied dry toothpaste to the bristles of the toothbrush. So just stick it in and get brushing. Putting cocoa drink powder in the müsli is awesome. The all-grain biscuits are very good at making you not shit. Very nice. I always put the spicy sauce in. No matter what. Love that stuff. I would not be able to function well on American MRE's. I liked your video!
Since steve1989 hasn’t uploaded in 7 months, I managed to stumble upon your channel. You’re doing a good job, and brave when it comes to very questionable food 😂
Thumbs up. You are one of the few reviewers who realises that the snacks are for on-the-go feeding, not for three course meals at a table. Soldiers, at least British soldiers, rarely have time to sit down and 'construct' sandwiches or heat up main meals. It is also why British soldiers have such big spoons - 'racing spoons', as they are known, get the food down quicker :)
From beginning to end, that ration looked fantastic. The raspberry muesli to start to the pates and finally the mashed with meat, made my mouth water. Thanks.
Its very nice if your NCO gives you enough time to heat up water for the meal packets. This rarely happened. Eating some of this stuff cold is horrible and I still feel the urge to vomit whenever I smell something remotely similar to the stale cardboardy smell that greets you when you open the box
RR that was a heck of a ration pack, there was only 1 item there I wouldn’t have been happy with-the mackerel but if you’re hungry it would certainly help! The European rations are certainly a step above both our Canadian and the US MREs, I guess we can hope that our respective procurement groups figure it out one day. Nicely done RR, take care my friend
