- Part 2 of my 2013 'Whistles & Two Tones' videos, Part 1 being January to March, Part 2 April to June, Part 3 July to September and Part 4 October - December. Featuring such whistles as the Stanier hooter to the A4 chime as well as diesel two tones.
Enjoy.

Henry 6:38
Gordon 4:29
James 2:33
Percy 3:56
Duck 4:53
Donald And Douglas 6:13
Oliver 7:01
Those are spot on! Except for maybe Oliver. In my head canon, these are the whistles that the engines I’ll actually have.
Those are all incorrect and just picked out carelessly
This is my personal head canon for what the North Western Railway engine's whistles would sound like if they were real engines.

6:13 Now that is a proper steam whistle.
A very good selection of tones and what a good idea for a video film, Excellent set of clips and superb locations. Thank you very much for sharing Barry
AT 1:54 it sounds from Thomas And friends Henry No.3
Nice greatest Hits package. That's reminded me to go back & watch some of those again. :D
You should hear a Hancock Three Chime whistle from a Norfolk and Western Class J.
6:38 sounds like N&W 1218
I think that 0:48 sounds like a N&W 1218 hooter whistle
Nice compilation you have captured there all bells and whistles as they say ..or without the bells
Nice hooters !!
1:50 Does that sound familiar..................................... its Blue Train With Friends Vick's whistle lol
Excellent Kris as always. Lovely echo-ey sounds from Bittern at Swindon. But the little 'uns win I'm afraid!! All the best....Tim.
