I was turned on to SoS Band in 1987 … there music is truly timeless!!! Way ahead of their time.. for sure, Big love to each of the band members,,, rest in peace to the lead singer she was a true legend… I love yall SOS BANzD!!!
I love the emotive singing, powerful vocals, and the visuals of Mary Davis in this video. A pure 1980s video whose focus was on Davis's vocals and her look for 1986.

I can clock the beat…Just be good to me. I still like them both anyway. SOS Band has amazing songs. Jimmy and Terry are great, along with the artists they wrote and produced for. Products of Prince RIP, but they made their own way after their estrangement. Alexander O’Neal, The Time and so many more. It happens and great music came out of it.
Rhythm Nation was something else. Very intense in a good kind of way. I saw Prince only once and intended to go if he made it to Memphis one more time. Easily the best show I ever attended. Floor seats, I don’t care what it costs. Next best thing is Cirque du Soleils MJ… New Editiion was good too. I like all music even in languages I don’t understand, I just feel it ….and ridiculously loud and pleasant summer concerts. I’m taking the day off for this. Fire me if you want but I’m going. The boss says no problem I’m taking the day off too. I’ll be there with you.

She received great recognition here in Europe during the 80's. Sands of Time was an epic album that got alot of airtime.
This is an enduring voice. Just like Sinatra, she doesn’t complicate with vocal gymnastics and serves the song. And the musicians, seemless.
