Glad you enjoyed the food but the only authentic Mexican food you made was the guacamole and tacos. The rest is bad white washed Mexican food. If they don’t pronounce the ingredients correctly it’s not authentic. I hope you remake this video with actual authentic Mexican food.
if you ever decide to do a part 2, i have some suggestions! any kind of enchiladas, flautas, pozole, and chilaquiles! i’ve been to mexico several times and every time i’ve been introduced to a new dish. there’s so much to try!
I think her being Australian it might be really hard to find all the ingredients for every Mexican foods. I’m from south Texas so I have no issues but I imagine it is really hard on the other side of the world
Here are the time stamps for the food~ 0:17- Guacamole (yummm) 3:07- Mexican Corn Salad 7:55- Mexican Street Corn Dip 11:03- Mexican Street Tacos Love you so much Tina, best wishes to you, Alfred, Lyla and Zen~
Im mexican and never in my life have seen a corn salad 😅 i wonder if its from other states, bc fun fact, the way we cook can vary a lot from state to state! Even if it’s supposed to be the same thing. You should try chilaquiles, pozole and our different type of tacos.. haha carnitas, barbacoa, tacos de canasta, we have a lot!
I’m thinking it’s just Mexican inspired. But like you said maybe it’s a dish from a different state of Mexico cause we def don’t make it in Michoacán lol
@@strawberrysoymilkshake Texas used to be a part of Mexico so depending on who you ask, Tejano dishes can be considered mexican even tho they're not technically Mexican.
If you ever want to try more Mexican food on your own, I recommend to look up some recipes for Pozole, Chilaquiles, Frijoles Charros, or Asado de Puerco with tomato rice. I’m sure you’ll love them! 🤗🤗
All of the recipes look so good. We live near LA area and in our neighborhood we have someone come around with a push cart selling a corn street food dish called esquite. It has corn, butter, mayonnaise, cheese and optional dusting of chile powder. It's so good.
Esquites are amazing! I love them :) you can also found them by “elote en vaso” (corn in a cup), thats what they call it in the northern states of Mexico, usually with sour cream instead of mayonnaise. Also they usually have chili powder “del que no pica” (not spicy) and regular :)
I had literally opened your channel this morning to see if you had posed any of these recipe videos. And boom now i get a notification!! Loved this video😍
1. The guacamole looked good. 2. Never had/seen any corn salad like that. Pretty sure that was made up, but it looked good, tho. 3. We never put butter like that on our street corn. The easy way is just mayo, cheese, salt and lime juice. 4. You'll hardly ever find chicken street tacos. The common thing is pork. And we never season the meat with cilantro or chopped onions. You could blend garlic with the spices and some hydrated dried chiles as well as the juice.
tina!!! i love this series of trying tiktok recipes, can u do one for brazilian foods? there's so many good recipes here, i would love to see you trying that ♥️♥️
i have an idea for this series. what about southern food from the u.s.? there’s an extensive amount of dishes and things to try. i think you guys would really like it! some examples of dishes are fried chicken, shrimp and grits, pimento cheese, and sweet potato pie. like i said, there’s dozens of dishes to choose from. it won’t be healthy at all but it will be so delicious!
Alfred just not bothering when Zenn hit you with the "I'm the cilantro to your corn" is how I want my future husband to be when my besties flirt w me 😂😂😂
Tina, check out La Mexicana grocery store at Chijmes the next time you making mexican dishes. They have all sort of mexican fresh produces including jalapeno.
I love that you're trying my parents' homelands recipes! I will say though, those elote recipes are far from Mexican.. haha! I want a part two! ❤ tacos look amazing!!
That's what im saying, looks good but I'm mexican and I'm not really sure where they get the "mexican inspo" because there are some things that I haven't seen in Mexico since I was born hahahaha

am I the only one who would love to see Tina showing us what she cooks on her house too? "what do I cook/eat in a day" kinda video!!
"I'm the cilantro to your corn" x') that and the corn dance battle killed me x')
Alfred gulping the tacos at the end while you’re talking was the best addition to the review

I second this, but add birria in part 3

Hi Tina! Maybe could you also share your grocery list in the description next time? So we can easily follow along and cook the same recipes!
You could grill it with the flame from your oven top. You can throw it right on the flames and it gives the same effect as a grill.
