- I thought this was their weakest performance to date...the vocals here showed off their weakness that they lack compared to their entertainment value..it's probably going to hurt them further ahead when this is still a vocal competition ahead of energizing the crowd...I think they're only good on songs that have a pop sound to be honest. C+

Peter is the best singer in the whole group. Plus he's one of the cutest. Joshua is right up there with him thought :3
Whoever graded this performance on the description is an idiot. Clean, decisive vocals with excellent control and blend topped off with amazing charisma. They are incredible and were by far the best group in the competition. I've watched their other videos and members, but this group, with these members is above and beyond. The star power and talent is unmatched.
Lol. It's fun to see Peter Hollens when he was young.
I said it then and I will say it again, they had the BEST transition from song to song of ALL the groups--it melded perfectly and no one else did that or even came close! As to "slow-er" uhm...ya..that. was. the. original, Ben. They made it their own and, -personally, I liked it a LOT. I'm also old enough to remember the originals..Anyway--moot point, now. Still, GREAT job, guys!

It's funny because OTR is one of the groups I still listen to from this season til this day. They have tons of recorded material that is super fun and awesome. Which should have something to say about their potential for their future career. I think these college groups are stuck in a category that seems like outside of the barrier from what pop music could achieve at the time. But now it seems are starting to figure out that the college groups are doing right.

I disagree with Ben's analysis. I think they did really well. The second song also didn't seem too fast to me.

IDK What mrduckbear11 is talking about. Their vocals are fantastic! It's that the songs they picked don't even sound pretty when they are sung by Elton John. They definitely improved his music

How far were they in the show?
This is the episode they're eliminated. Jerry Lawson and Talk of the Town are eliminated next on the same episode. The Backbeats finished third, Street Corner Symphony finished second, and Committed won.

Judges, until the final 3 groups, then it's public voting. In season 4 and 5, the judges make all the decisions
I know season 3 was the judges chose until the finale and the fans voted for the winner. Not sure about this season though
First 3 seasons, you can only vote just before/during the finale

These guys put on a great show, but I worry that they must spend a fortune on haircuts. Time-traveling back to 1962 just to see a barber is not cheap.

I feel like girl judges are placed on shows to be cheerleaders instead of providing actual judging.
Note: I'm not being misogynistic. Just stating an observation. Cause Nichole never has anything of substance to say.
This was my least favorite of OTR.
