To be fair, Showa Gyaos not being able to turn its head is just being faithful to the movie; they went out of their way to explain that Gyaos can't turn its head due to having a toning-fork like neck that allows it to produce the sonic cutter beam.
Hoping they do the later, large-eyed design of Showa Gamera too. It's cool that they specifically did the original 1965 suit, but the design changed for the later Showa movies.
Clearly it’s been a while since I’ve watched a Gamera movie lol I saw a seam and just tossed up a 50/50 it’ll either move or not, didn’t really take movie accurate articulation into play, but a wins a win. Can’t complain there.
The simple designs of a lot of the Gamera monsters makes it easy for them to transfer well into toys. These are great.
They’ve done a good job with all the Gamera releases so far. So if the simpler stuff is going to look as good as these… we eating good good lol
@@ShinRobjira I have the first Gamera and Gyaos they released in the early 90's and the Memorial Box... and they're all a ton of fun. I can't believe they went so hard with these new sculpts.
This is literally all I ever wanted Bandai to do for Gamera: new showa figures. And they flipping delivered! Turtle and bat looks absolutely amazing, no complaints from me. I'm so happy. Gamera is really getting it good this year. Hope it keeps on coming 🔥🐢🦇
2023, year of the shell.. maybe some lizard (meh) honestly though, it’s great to see Gamera getting his deserved time to shine. Hopefully Bandai can further cap the year off with more classic Kaiju from Gamera’s first series!

Definitely going to pick these up, I desperately need more showa figs and good god the old ones are hard to come by without dropping some big ones.
Yeah them older releases can be a pain to track down without breaking bank. It’s possible. But not all that consistent lol

Barugon is the only showa Gamera kajiu that hasn't gotten any merchandise lately.
Yeah nobody cares about him but still he's been left out.
I don't think he'll remain left out much longer.
He's one of the most fantastical Gamera enemies, I can't see Kadokawa not using him in a very freeing
medium such as animation. Even if they do, you can't complete the lineup without him!

1. The scales of a turtle's shell are called scutes. The shell over the back is the carapace; over the belly is the plastron. I like turtles.
2. I have no idea who Hitomi Tanaka is. Actress? Anime character? At first I thought you said Tomoyuki Tanaka, who looked like a plump guy, but hardly in need of a bra. 😂
Really a magnificent figure, I would love to buy these 2 someday, a really brief and nice review, keep it up, and you'll get to 20k man.

It’s funny how these MMS Gamera figures are so nicely painted and detailed and the MMS Godzilla figures are so lazy. (Godzilla 1954 & Mothra 1992).
Dunno what to chalk it up to these days, but aye, Gamera could use the extra love & push he's been getting!
Maybe, eventually, MMS Godzilla releases will get back on track... maybe if material costs go down a bit.
I hope Garazart and Marukkogarappa come out even if it's a cameo in Gamera's series.🐉🦀

Funnily Gyaos having no Neck swivel is accurate to the original movie lol. There was a lore reason for why the suit's head was incapable of moving left and right.

I'm waiting for Show Barugon, Viras, Guiron and Zigra from Gamera Rebirth, Iris and Zedus and I thought of getting the Showa Gamera and Gyaos but 1995 ones are enough since they're what introduced me to Gamera in the first place which makes them my most favorite but I do still planned to get Jiger from Gamera Rebirth and Legion Solider just hoping they're won't be any really good Bandai movie monster series figures that might cut me off
I’m sure it won’t take too too long for more Showa Gamera stuff to drop. Especially if all we’ve seen from Rebirth is all we’re getting from the anime.
@@ShinRobjira Well I could always go for the Showa versions of Viras, Guiron and Zigra but there's no Iris, Gamera 1996 and 1999 on Amazon not even Daimajin cause I definitely want Daimajin too even though he's not in the Gamera Universe but he's still from the same studio and I still planned to get the Showa Gamera collection as well as the Daimajin Trilogy
Zedus would look awesome in vinyl form. It's a shame they totally ignored him back in 2006. There's almost no merch of him.

I agree lol but I’m not sure if they’ll make their way to Amazon US. Bandai’s been weirdly inconsistent with that the last couple of years.
I think the Gamera figure is less Gamera 65 and is more Gamera 71 from Gamera vs Zigra or even Gamera 80 from Gamera Super Monster, but that’s just me. I’m probably not gonna be getting the Gamera figure because I still have (and in perfect condition I might add) the Memorial Box figure, and it’s great I love it. Now that Gyaos though, I love it, I NEED IT 😍!!! Also by the nice name drop, Hitomi is…😍🥰😘👍perfect!!!

Gyaos is a female.
Showa gyaos isn't female when it's gender is never implied, only heisei gyaos is entirely female (except when they asexually reproduce to become male at times)
