Excellent review and playing! Thank you so much I’m considering getting a Solar guitar and this video has helped me a lot to pull the trigger, probably gonna change the pickups tho

Congratulations! It's a great guitar. That's fair on the pickups. They're good and usable but definitely are no match for a set of Dimarzios, Bare Knuckles, etc.

thanks for the videos ... I'm looking for 7 string to tune down to E1, so I'm thinking of at least 27" scale ... and always wanted to try an Evertune (perhaps it would help with intonation / wavering of the low pitches). From the different models you've had / researched, anything in particular stick out? I see Solar is going to make a 29" with Duncans and Evertune - seems promising!

The 29" would be an excellent choice for E1. I have an 8 string multiscale guitar with the 8th string tuned to E1. It has a 27.5" scale length for that string and while tuning stability is only okay, the intonation could be better.
The evertune bridge 100% solves pitch wavering and is really easy to intonate. The only thing is that there's a maximum string thickness it can support, and the tuning range is also limited, so you'll have to research if your string gage would be supported
I'd say go for the 29 inch scale length if you don't mind how far apart the frets are - that could be difficult to play any kind of stretches

Would you take the solar over an ESP LTD 7 string? Debating on which to get (ESP LTD SH-1007 black or an E-II)

I would take the Solar, but that's because it has my favorite 7 string neck profile that I personally like. I had the Stephen carpenter 7 baritone ltd some years ago and while it was an awesome guitar, I never felt comfortable with the neck profile . The Solar feels like a true thin-ish C while the Ltd felt like a standard neck that was stretched in the middle, if that makes sense. Many people play the LTDs though so if you find one you like, it'd be a great choice. Also never played a 7 strong E-II but I love my six string E-II Arrow, amazing guitar

@@HighZ Ive only had and still have ESP and LTD, love it and is my favorite brand, but thinking if its time to try out for a new brand, I honestly might try out the Solar first just based on the positive things ive heard from everybody, thank you!
