Just passing by here but damn what a great video!! Good explaining and I love the demonstration part. YOU NAILED IT!!!!
Thank you!

Amazing video! I’ve been saving up to get one for myself, is the neck asymmetrical? The website doesn’t say anything about it but others say it is, thanks!
Great question! It seems like all these models have different neck profiles. The legions have a flat U or D, the space T has a more traditional C, and this Master series has a thin C until the 12th fret, and then is a hybrid half thin C on the treble side and half flat with increasing thickness on the bass side. It's not so bad to play if you have your guitar medium to high on the strap or if you play classic style, but you need to be comfortable playing with your thumb behind the neck.
Hopefully this helps. I'll make a short right now to better show the neck profile so that should be up in like 10 minutes. Let me know if you have more questions or DM me on socials if you need detailed pictures
Nice guitar! I'd love to try one, one day!
I'd say almost 5-6 years ago I bought my first 8-string, Ibanez RG8, and tried out for a short time before I decided to get something nicer, an RG852LW. It was for about 2 years I exclusively only played that guitar. I was in the mindset that it would be the only guitar I would ever need both live and the studio. Until I auditioned for a band, and suggested that I can play it, but they said it would look weird because their other guitar player used a 6-string. This was a good excuse for me to buy another guitar. I ended up buying a 6-string for the audition, which shortly afterwards, I began to realize I didn't need the 8-strings to do everything I wanted to play... Nowadays I compromised with playing 7-string guitars and using a pitch shifter to play lower tunings.
To summarize it, people should try out different guitars and see what works for them.
We go through many stages on our guitar journey! That must have been so different switching from 8 to 6 so suddenly, although any excuse for a NGD is a good excuse. I feel like 7 is an excellent compromise. You don't have too many strings and you have some great range in case the song is in Eb, C, etc.
For the longest time I would only play 6 strings and in standard. Then one day I joined a friend of a friend's band and they were all about drop C. So I made the switch, liked the range, and started arranging covers. So in summary you're right, you never know what can happen when you try new guitars or new tunings!
Why are you storing your pick between the bass strings? I’m storing my pick between the treble strings since 30 years and it never flies away. Pick under B and over E and G around the first fret.
I do this because of the guitar rack stands I have. I usually put my guitars in the rack with the treble side of the neck against the top bar which interferes with the pick sometimes if I put it in treble side
The Goliath is amazing by Ormbsy. Best guitar I've ever had.
Nice! They look like they rock so it's great to hear they live up to it
I got one of his NAMM models this year, I just got the guitar, it was so good that it prompted me to get a Headless 7 V as well, as they dont have any plans he said for more headless Vs for awhile. Never spent that much on a guitar, and I did it twice back to back, they are pieces of art.@@HighZ
@@jackbootshamangaming4541 Nice! How's the balance? Those things are works of art and I imagine they play impeccably
The V isn't in yet, I'm waiting with baited breath.
The Goliath is amazing and balances great. I had avoided the V because of the sitting down playing with the headless tuners, but I have played the same way with my Goliath, and those tuners dont hurt the leg at all. The Hotrock in the bridge rips, I thought I would possibly upgrade it, nah, I'm keeping this. I have a De La Creme in the neck, love it as well. The V has the Blizzard and Concordia set in it.
They really are works of art and are impeccable. I can't wait to play my Goliath every time I do, it's encouraged me to play a lot more too@@HighZ
@@jackbootshamangaming4541 Always great when you have that perfect guitar, the right tool for the job. Playing more is a fantastic side effect. More music, more creativity. Here's to hoping the V will be just as good!
