@@humantopicalityviolation2128 Which means...had Seymour given Chalmers his actual address, his roast wouldn't have been ruined but maybe it would still be inside the oven
Skinner is such a good sport. He figures out the lie almost immediately, but simply praises Chalmers for his creativity. The superintendent's pride kept him from admitting to it, which is a shame because Skinner already knew and wasn't mad
I like how Chalmers is far more abrasive in his lies and insistences here, it's like instead of the original where Skinner was frantically trying to hide his mistakes from Chalmers, Chalmers is instead bullying Skinner into accepting his statements. And when Skinner catches Chalmers in a lie, he congratulates him rather than being mad since he's a major suck-up to him. Pretty neat, the roles change but the characters still act more or less as they normally would according to their personalities.
This is how I'd imagine he'd react, it's not a big deal and Chalmers forces Skinner into these lies because he doesn't know how to react in a reasonably proportional way.
skinner just mentioning "I'm from Albany!" as like a fun fact at 1:09 is perfect and chalmers' skeptical "uh huh" right after he says that makes it even more funny
I'm actually impressed how this completely warps their personalities. Skinner suddenly becomes this very intelligent man that is so confident he doesn't even feel the need to show it off, having an amicable laugh about Chalmer's ruse. Chalmers becomes an insecure man that needs to hide behind an authority complex.
Feels like some weird alternate universe. Where Skinner is probably actually good at being a principal and is a respected member of society, well Chalmers is this bumbling fool of a superintendent, who somehow got the job.
this also goes really well with the idea that in the beginning, Chalmers was intentionally trying to mislead Skinner with his directions but Skinner still knew how to get there. it's as if Chalmers didn't want Skinner to come over but was hesitant on telling him that lmao
This feels like a post-Steamed Hams episode where Chalmers lost a bet or something with Skinner, to which Chalmers is forced to reenact the entirety of the unforgettable luncheon in Skinner's position. Judging by Seymour's joyous expression throughout, he seems thoroughly amused by Chalmers' efforts and continues to play along. Having the time of his life
I love how Skinner doesn't actually mind the fact that Chalmers disguised the burgers as his own meal, almost as if Skinner actually ENCOURAGES it. Skinner is clearly a better friend than Chalmers could ever be.
Skinner: “Superintendent Chalmers, the day you start coming on to me… that’ll be the day I’m not even feeling like Seymour Skinner but some kind of… some kind of… Armin Tamzarian or something!”
This makes it seem like chalmers purposely gave skinner bad directions in hopes that he wouldn’t make it, and is disappointed when skinner shows up anyway
In this timeline Chalmers actually started banging Skinners mom. He moved in and they both kicked Skinner out. Chalmers felt a little bad about it so he invited Skinner over for a luncheon.
When Seymour said "You purchased fast food and disguised it as your won cooking! Delightfully devilish super Intendent!" and Chalmers just went "ah-...kitchen..." that was so funny!
Okay I know this looks so cheesy but I got to say it's actually pretty impressive to see somebody actually edit this to have the roles reversed. Especially to have it actually be fluently animated at times even though most of time it wasn't. This one needs to go viral. It might not because it's not 2018 when the meme was at its peak, but this is awesome

This completely flips the dynamic and yet it's no less charming, that's outstanding. Skinner has no issues with a little white lie for the sake of the luncheon going alright. He's a good sport.
That's absolutely perfect. Skinner would happily accept anything Chalmers would do in the same situation because he really wants Chalmers to like him as much as he likes Chalmers. Plus, he won that "Biggest Doormat" award over Ned Flanders, so perfectly in character there.
The word splicing was amazingly done, given how little you had to work with by Chalmers! Even better with the custom animation to showcase the role swap. This is probably one of my favorite Steamed Hams edits of all time.
I like how Skinner calls Chalmers "delightfully devilish" when he discovers the trickery- keeping to the concept in the original that the visitor is aware of all the tomfoolery and is just going along with it- but Skinner is sure enjoying himself. Also impressive editing, you managed to make it sounds pretty natural.

1:40 he sounds like he's trying not to laugh that chalmers' kitchen is engulfed in flames and chalmers saying it was aurora borealis was about to make him burst out in laughter
I love that their character traits remain intact even as they perform the opposite actions. Chalmers' lies were so assertive while Seymour's questions seemed more nervous.
I like how Seymour showed up with an apron on. He apparently took it off to enter the house, the way some people take off their shoes inside. Then he puts it back on at the end when he leaves.
Simple concept I'm surprised hasn't been done before, and so well done with only using the Steamed Ham audio without reverting to a plethora of lines from other episodes with these two. Keep steaming those hams.
So..: Seymour (Host) Is really perseverant and fakes confidence while being goofy and passive with the lies. Chalmers (Guest) Is dense, overly serious, gullible while also being very inquisitive, and can settle for lesser answers.
