@@senorfederigo3700 I guess the fact characters in steven universe keep getting off model

@Ice Cream Man Fr, it's strange. It's not even like the animation was bad, it was just like for some reason, every animator was given a different reference. Shit was mind boggling cuz it's never obvious, it's always SLIGHTLY off.
I’m literally awestruck that this was done by one person instead of a collaboration of artists. Fantastic work!

Yeah pretty accurate tbh
This can only be made by someone with an intense appreciation for art and animation, and it makes me respect the various artists who have been making every single original cartoon over the better half of a century. And it makes me respect you for being able to put in the time and dedication to make this. You more than deserve to stand among those artists
Exactly, the dedication alone is amazing but the quality and attention to detail makes this a masterpiece
Right? It's incredible, not only just the adherence to the animation style, feel, and pacing, and the brilliant touch of adding the appropriate music/sound effects, but even mimicking the different look between the early 90s cel production look and the later digital look, like, just look at and compare the crispness of the linework in the Oddparents style to the older style blurrier inked cel look for non-HD broadcast of the Dexter's Laboratory look. This is nothing short of a masterwork, this is the kind of video animation professors would show their students in animation colleges...
As tedious as this would’ve been to create, it must’ve been fun recreating all the different styles. Things wouldn’t get too boring
The Ed, Edd, n Eddy bit is just PERFECT, I dont even understand how you can get that so right.
“Masterpiece” isn’t nearly enough to describe how much I love this.
You’ve done an insanely fabulous job.
The Eddsworld one looks extremely spot on. I only wish Edd Gould didn't die, because his animation was rapidly getting better and improving.
It still hurts to think how we lost him so young, but his work continues to inspire people to this day, and we're all grateful for that :)
People like us remember and recognize his style and create great tribute animations of it, so in a way, Edd lives forever
Yeah. I'm grateful for what we got from him, but god damn, his death was such a waste of a valuable life. Given the observed quantity and increasing quality of his output and the insight about him shared by friends and family after his passing, the kid was one of the best cartoonists alive by sheer virtue of his commitment and love for the craft on top of being just a pleasant overall fellow. He hit the ground of animation running and didn't stop sprinting til he was gone. What a loss.
Eddsworld still exists, as his friends are doing a great job of continuing the legacy, but none of them are the force of artistic nature Edd was and it's hard to imagine where Eddsworld would be now with Ed's drive behind it.
Bro I lost my shit
I remember watching his cartoons back when I was 14 or so. Now I'm almost twice that age. It's crazy how fast time flies.
The way Skinner proportions completely changed in the Steven Universe animation was my favorite little detail.

2:02 I love the detail how when he comes out of the kitchen his proportions and art style change just like how Steven Universe essentially had two art styles due to half the show being animated by a different team in Korea. That's such a crazy small detail and i adore it.
Same with the Dover Boys reference (2:51) having extremely exaggerated smear frames just like the original!
It's a reference to inconsistencies by the storyboarders, not the Korean animators.
@@lbsc1201 How would storyboarders affect the animation? (Legitimate question)
@@voidishprattles4319 if there are different storyboarders, it equals different artstyles. different artstyles=different storyboard=artstyle inconsistencies
@@solariix4388 ah so there were two teams then? I was under the impression the Animators in Korea had miscommunication between them and the American team, which lead to the different style... Tho I've also heard that the inconsistencies were a budget thing too where the more "filler" episodes didn't have as much put into them so they could focus on the main episodes and making them look good. This is the first time I'm hearing about storyboarders unrelated to the Korean team tho. Steven Universe very weirdly has a lot of misinformation around it I've found out. Is there anywhere you're getting this info on? I'm now just feeling curious about the whole development story now.
