Thank you for honestly showing your mistakes - much more helpful than the 'perfect' project. Watching some other videos I have learned a) not to put the top or back on a cabinet, till the drawers are installed - gives you so much better access and b) make the cabinet carcass- then measure up and install the drawers to fit, c) lie a cabinet on its side for drilling and some screwing - often easier and more accurate than drilling horizontally. You did well with the shelf slides - they can be frustrating if just a few millimeters out in width.

Thanks Richard. The bandsaw cuts were actually intentional because I knew I wouldn’t be able to get them as straight as I wanted them to - so I didn’t care about trying. ;-)
I just bought a couple of IKEA Pax cabinets. L-Boxxes fit perfectly in the 30x50 wardrobes. But I must admit, your solution is much nicer, more versatile and you designed and made it yourself.
You know what the biggest difference between your work and my work is? My mistakes are not on video :D My solution for that problem is radical: Take the tracksaw and cut the sides of the cabinets at a diagonal from top to bottom. Glue in a piece of contrasting wood to make it higher. Or maybe even glue in a piece of metall with epoxy? And everybody will be like: Wow Andreas! What a desing! You took shop furniture to another level! :D Or maybe use thinner material for the drawer bottoms? You have lips around it anyway which make it strong and the boxes are strong for themselfes. Should work. On those rabets I rough them out at the table saw and only take a whisper pass at the router. No chunks, only dust, no problem. Those suggestions are a bit late for this project, but maybe come in handy in the future or for somebody else.
Loved it when you said Wood Peckers ridiculously expensive and you still buy them. Spoiling ourselves with a few tools is nice. The red stopper on the story stick looks like plastic. If it is I hope the price wasn't _that_ bad. Having a nice piece of aluminum there would make it far better feeling when you run the stop into things. Video is great again. Surprised how the breaks where you talk made the video that much better. I think of cabinetry as an unending decision making process because of the three intersecting faces in each corner and how you're doing to place them all. I try to use the inset back as often as possible and combine that with jack stud style sides depending on the gravity load. Meaning I keep the top and bottom outset so the sides are inboard so the weight is transferred to them and not fasteners like nails/screws/biscuits.

Concerning the cabinet build: with pocket holes, the top and bottom pieces have to be between the uprights for the pocket holes to be invisible. That’s why I added an extra top (sitting on top of the uprights) and a second layer on the bottom (on which the uprights sit). But I agree with you, with biscuits I would have made the top and bottom outset.

Thanks for your comment. My problem with glasses is that they always fog up in seconds (even with anti fog on them) and then I hardly see anything at all.
Schöne Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeit für deine ganzen Boxen. Manchmal sieht so ein Schränkchen ganz einfach aus aber irgendwie schleichen sich Kleinigkeiten ein und dann entstehen die Probleme. Danke das du die Fehler drin gelassen hast, schönes Video 👍
Cool, als ob du Gedanken lesen könntest :-) Das ist genauso ein Schrank wie ich vor ein paar Wochen geplant habe. Muss ihn nur noch 3x bauen. Habe allerdings keine Vollauszüge sondern realisiere es mit Alu-U-Schienen. Wird günstiger und wenn ich den Tisch bewege werden die Schubladen halt drin gehalten. Aber Ich werde die L-Boxxen noch etwas fixieren in den Schubladen damit diese dort nicht so viel hin und her rutschen. Ebenso wollte ich den freien Platz hinter den Boxen nutzen für Reserve Zubehör und Verbrauchmaterial (z.B. Bohrer, Messer für Multitool usw.) das zu den Boxen in der Schublade gehört. Und die Tische haben später die masse damit ich diese zu einem großen Tisch zusammenschieben kann. Hoffe mal das ich das richtig geplant habe. Von daher kann ich nur sagen echt super der Tisch! Weiter so!
Danke für das Feedback, die Fixierung der Boxen steht auch noch an -dahinter noch Stauraum zu nutzen, ist eine super Idee. Das werde ich mir mal anschauen. Danke für die Idee.
Hey Andreas. I really enjoyed your video on the drawer units - a lucky find as I was actually looking you up to see if you were a track-saw UA-camr (I'll contact you separately about that). But I'm about to tackle a very similar project for my channel for Systainers/Makpaks and Euroboxes (which happen to be the same dimensions as Systainers). Your drawer runner video has been in my essential tips playlist for a while now and want to thank you for that because I find runners super stressful in a project. Especially as I really prefer to drill out the holes while the cabinet is disassembled and I can't count the number of times I've got it slightly wrong!. Anyway a quick question if I may, what's your preferred bench height?
Thanks Robert. I know that in the US many woodworker wear safety glasses all the time. In Germany, I’m, quite sure that it’s not mandatory even in professional environment except for few situations. My glasses always fog up on me in seconds and I find that poor sight is much more dangerous than having no glasses on.

Die Woodpecker-Dinger haben es mir wirklich angetan. Und nachdem ich mal einen Winkel gekauft habe, ist das eher noch ausgeprägter. Das ist wirklich unglaubliche Qualität. Na ja -dafür rauche ich nicht und schau nicht fern und … habe sonst praktisch auch keine Laster ;-) - Und die Schiene ist das einzige Produkte von Festool, das ich besitze - und die hat auch noch einen ganz speziellen Grund (siehe das Tauchsägen-Video). ;-)

My bench is about 84 cm but that’s not by choice. It just happened to be the height of an old workbench that was in my shop when I moved in.

I’ve screwed a piece of wood on the bottom at the back of the drawer so that there’s only some millimeters of play for the box.
