Awesome tank pick ups! I just picked up two of the 60 gallon breeder tanks as well from Petco's 50% off deal. I haven't set them up yet though bc I don't have any more room in the bedroom. The goal is to hopefully have a fish room sooner than later and will set up more bigger tanks and take down my smaller tanks.
Also, next time when cutting out the inside of the sponge filter, I recommend using cutting pliers instead of the knife. I'm sure you were extremely careful when handling the knife like that but as someone who used to work as a sushi chef, it's never advisable to use your knife in the direction of your body parts. Anything can go wrong within a blink of an eye and I'd hate for you to have to make a trip to the ER for that could have been easily avoided.
Lastly, Petco and PetSmart do price match with a lot of competitor retailers and online shops so if your local Petco did have the dual 75 gallon stand in stock, you could always show them the Walmart app with their price and Petco would be able to price match for you. It saves you money from having to pay shipping if you did. Even if you received free shipping, your get the stand that same day versus having to wait for it to arrive in the mail.

Nice, I didn't know Petco did that. I didn't have to pay for shipping, Walmart ships for free. Thank you for recommending pliers. At the time, I didn't have any small enough to fit the hole. When I was looking back at the video, I was scared the knife was going to fly thru the screen and get me 🤣

the way i did my sponge filter, the airstone is connected through the top connector piece, instead of the bottom like you had. my sponge filter kinda sounds like a soda can fizz, but i was trying to get it to be line yours. could that be because of how i put mine in, or could it be the airstone i used? i like the smaller bubbles you got, but mine are too tiny and it sounds like constant fizzing lol

Those Titan metal stands are the best.

Love the videos man, I'm trying to get a brand new 55 gallon cycled but I've been having a tough time. Would you be able to provide a seeded sponge filter? Or do you know anywhere in SoCal that would be my best bet. Thanks man and keep up the great videos.

It takes time to get the cycle stable. Usually, for me, it takes 5 weeks. I do weekly 50% water change and treat everything like I normally would with regular feeding and everything. It just takes time. At the moment, I don't have any seeded filters. I don't fret and constantly check my water parameters. I used to, but I find that there's nothing I can do. 50% water change weekly is the best thing I can do.

I built one for my old 125-gallon, and it was fun, but I wouldn't do it again because it cost me about the same price for materials. I had to use time to build it as well, and my craftsmanship isn't the best. That's why I went with the one that's pre-made.

Maybe later on down the road, I'll do some more, but as for now, I'm pretty stocked up and out of tank space (that's why I'm buying new tanks). I am always on the lookout for quality angels, so who knows when the next unboxing will be happening. Thank you for your subscription!

My angel fish had a bloated stomach and was not eating. So I kept it in a separate hospital tank. I added 2 spoons of epsom salt in 40 liters of water. Something like cotton came out of it. I changed the water for three days and added two spoonfuls of Epsom salt. But still the swelling of the stomach has not completely subsided. The fish is not eating anything. If you give some advice in this regard, it will be very helpful.

I have experienced this in the past, and usually, if it is anything that is internal, I can not recommend anything to fix it as we don't know what exactly it is and can only assume internal parasite. The only thing that I can recommend is using "API General Cure" product for any internal parasites. The thing with internal is that it is something we can not see and can only guess. I did an autopsy on one of my angels, and it turned out that it passed from enlarged liver disease, which is nothing we can do. Internal can mean a lot of things like inlarged liver disease, intestinal blockage, parasite infestation, or other diseases that we do not know of. I'm sorry I can not help you in this one as I'm not an expert in fish disease. Even I lose fish from internal problems. I wish you the best.

You don't paint the bottom of the tank? Don't your fish always nose down then with nothing on the bottom?
