- DISCLAIMER I don't claim to be singer, BUT highly recommend everyone who plays an instrument to familiarize themselves with their voice, and to try singing a style they find comfortable to sing (I won't be ever trying to cover AC/DC). Doing so leads to you experiment with changing the original keys of the song and with chord voicings to accompany the range of your voice (with my register I had to really think about bass notes). Many of my students get nervous about their singing, so I decided to upload this to let them know they're not alone in feeling out of their comfort zone with singing :)
This is a favorite tune of mine (and seemingly every one of my fellow classmates) while I was at school, that turned into my "frequently practiced" list. I've never sung it before, or sung this style of music before, or recorded myself singing, or...well...you get the idea. There were plenty of "firsts" in this video, and it ended up being a lot of fun to make. Hope you enjoy!

My god! Your voice is perfect for Baroque pop. Please keep singing!
Thank you! I gotta look up what baroque pop is
Yes, very wise
you've got a great & smooth tenor voice! keep singin
Thanks! I sit in the bass/baritone range, same one as Johnny Cash, for instance :)
@@ElliottKleinguitar that's probably right, sorry! my choir's got a tenor with a voice like yours but honestly i don't doubt that he's only a tenor because nobody else can sing all that well.
This makes me miss you even more. What a beautiful performance.
Thanks Sess :) Miss you both too!
Sounding great! Really cool that you're branching out
Thanks Jared! Just having a good time messing around with a tele like this, Im really liking the tones!
@@ElliottKleinguitar It's sounding fantastic! I do really love the tone of that guitar
Cant wait to eventually try an Aristides tele like yours!
Never thought I'd see the day... but very cool man! You're awesome!
No you’re awesome!
well done! I need to train my vocals too.
Thanks Wayne! Its quite the vulnerable task, but well worth it
@@ElliottKleinguitar Indeed. That vulnerable practice builds confidence! Let me know if you ever need a bass player to collab with :)
This is gas bro 🔥🔥 much love from your youngest fan
Thanks Aidan, appreciate it!
@@ElliottKleinguitarNo problem! Ive only been playing guitar for around 1 and a half years, but your videos really inspire me to become as good as you one day!
That’s so nice of you :) All the best with your playing and practicing! If you start uploading please feel free to share
@@ElliottKleinguitar Will do! Thanks a lot!!
I was thinking its just an intro song and then soon you will start talking about how we are unique snowflakes and inspire us.. and then the video ended..
Lol sorry! There’s a video worth of words in the description though!
@@ElliottKleinguitar 😂😂😂 but beautiful song.. l relistened again with a different mindset (not assuming its an intro), and its beautiful..
😂😂😂. A lot of players take this tune at like 200bpm. But when reading the lyrics I thought it made more sense as a ballad. Super fun to solo over at 200bpm though!
You remind me of a lower pitched chet baker
Best case scenario, appreciate you!
