The HX is a highly capable laser scanner, about $2000 more than the Pro HD -- but the Pro HD has an automated turntable. What's the trade-off? Could you do a tutorial on how to use the software for HD Pro? Like how to find the optimal distance and illumination for a fast and precise scanning? Further more how to use the software in consideration for editing the point cloud and aligning (including 3 point)? Hace you ever used Mesh2Surface plugin for Rhino?

dang, so ideally, if i wanna get SUPPER accuracy on small parts AND sometimes scan something like an engine bay (to produce my OWN air intake or something like)... i would need both scanners lol.... -______- *whew*
No the Pro HD will scan about anything if you scan in low light of the evening and turn up the brightness it will scan black or shiny objects just fine I just scanned under the hood on a car about 2 hours ago. I didnt use any spray or trackers and it turned out well.

@@torodatruth well, the super low resolution only comes on the HX, at 0.05mm point distance, but it's not nearly as good for smaller parts. We'll add this into the video coming soon!
why.....why..... not set the HX at 0.05 mm resolution and compare the result to Pro HD....

I wonder why reviewers never use 0.05 resolution on the HX even in a comparison like this. Does it even work at all?
Mainly because it takes WAY longer to process all the data -- however, we're getting this request a LOT, so definitely subscribe and expect to see a hi-res scan here in the next few weeks!
Yes ir works and is way better than the standard high quality. it doen't take all that extra time on a small parte like this One. Much less time than the HD pro hás Taken to scan this PCR board. The really sad thing was that the board should have been scanned in the same way as it was with the HD pro glued to the table. Maybe Next time you should scan the same piece in the same conditions to be fair. Other than that it was a good review.
