Thanks Jason, great tutorial as always. The Megascans content is great. Would like to see more videos of your work flow for creating and manipulating Quixel mixer assets and bringing them into Twinmotion.
Fantastic!! Do the assets have to be downloaded each time you want to use them in a model Justin or, can they be saved in the assets library inside twinmotion? Thanks for the update!! :)
Hi Justin, another great tut . One question off topic, can you relocate the gizmo from its point on a asset to another point on that same asset? I imported a object I created in Sketchup into Twin-motion to use in a model I'm working on , however, the gizmo came in far away from the object making it difficult to place the object accurately where I needed it. Can you make videos like that explaining the different tools and their uses in twin-motion I find it may be extremely extremely helpful and also help others better understand how to use the gizmo and other tools , along with tips and tricks, many others fail and don't take the time to show and explain as you do, you know I always love your Great work! Thanks!!
I thought (though I haven't tested this) that the gizmo gets placed wherever the object origin (location where the axes intersect) is in SketchUp. Is the object origin really far away from your model in SketchUp?
@@TheRenderingEssentials Hi Justin I just tested it and found that to be the case I created a component then located the axis where I wanted the gizmo to appear in TM and it worked! Thank you for your help. Much appreciated
Hi Justin! Thanks for the video! I've got a question maybe you can help me. With that new feature, what is the difference using Unreal Engine or Twinmotion? Or what is the adventage to use Unreal Engine over Twinmotion? I'm asking that question to my self because it's easier to use Twinmotion than Unreal Engine.
no license of ue4 no excess to megascans assets. when i click on any asset to download it takes me to the subscription page. if you have any solution to this please share.
For some reason Quixel wasn't recognising that I had an Epic games account, and I didn't get the 'success' dialogue you got. It kept wanting to re dowload the epic games launcher that I already had. It seems, in addition to the Epic games account you need to set up an Unreal licence but it is not obvious how
Epic games is really showin lumion who's boss, i was first set on getting lumion but with that pricetag and the way things are goin with twinmotion, which i got for free, looks like i made the right choice, thx for the tip ! love the video's btw!
thanks for the video - i have a problem- for example the ruin pieces are opened from some sides- since i want to do renders and then paint over them- this is a bit unfortunate- how can i fix that?
And btw, it doesn't matter what software you use. The only rule is: The end result (=render) has to be done in TM or Unreal Engine. Post processing is allowed
Yeah - here's the line from the licensing page - "You may use other tools at various stages in your pipeline, as long as the final product is in Unreal Engine." Worth noting that obviously distributing the original in other tools is not acceptable, but agree :)
Hi Justin. I am an Unreal Engine and Twinmotion user early bird. I am trying to download some assets but it does not work. I do not have access to the third case for type of mesh FBX as you. I only can download JPEG or EXR. So, I do not have the 3D mesh to import it in Twinmotion. I have trying my download directly on megascan website and in Quixel Bridge after signing in with my Epic games and it doesn’t work either way. What should I do? What I am doing wrong? I thank you in advance for your response and great work.
I am having a similar issue of being unable to find any compatible files to import into Twinmotion and I have tried absolutely everything and nothing is working.
I need help! when I connect the epic account I get the following "LICENSE NOT FOUND Your account doesn’t have an Unreal Engine license associated with it. Please sign up for an Unreal Engine license and sign in again. " I have an EPiC GAMES account, how can I solve it!
quixel says i dont have unreal engine not associated with my account even though i have twinmotion installed, does getting the app when it was free not included in the free access?
How long can this possibly be free for? I've also been able to download the latest twinmotion for free still too. What's going on? I don't want to have all this stuff pulled out from under me suddenly after I get used to it. I appreciate the coverage though, thanks!
@@TheRenderingEssentials Better documentation on whether itll stay free or not is essential in being able to judge if you should spend the time developing a workflow around the program for your business. Hi, I was wondering if you can help me, I have been using Twinmotion 19 for a time now, and when the 2020 came up, I downloaded it and it was very good, but when I try to make a render or a video it crashes, so I waited for the update, and kept using the 19, and when the 2020.1 came, I also had the same problems, My pc is very good, it has i9, 32gb ram, 480 ssd, nvidia quadro k2200 2gb, and 16gb optane memory, It should work, but I have this problem, maybe you know what to do, I thought it could be the Gpu, But I dont know, When I make videos in the 19 version, it crashes when I make multiple videos at once, I have to make one by one, Can you help me?
I'm not really sure how to help with this - that does seem like a stretch for that graphics card, but I have no way of knowing if your hardware is what's causing your crashes or not
@@TheRenderingEssentials Thanks for replying, I'll keep looking, Yesterday I had to hard reset my pc like 10 times cause it crashed with the 19 version, The file is les than 200mb and it crashed

Hey! Do you know how to 'enable' opacity from Quixel? I Import PNG color texture and turn on Opacity and... I still have full filled parts without opacity. Couuld you make tutorial how to import grass model and add it to TM?
@@TheRenderingEssentialsNo, sorry for confusion. I selected 3d grass model and saved it in FBX and textures in JPG format, then using UE plugin in Quixel Bridge I exported textures from this model to PNG format and when I import whole grass model to my TM project I have rectangular shapes which are supposed to be grass blades but even after PNG texture import my model remains fully rectangular and isn't shaped like grass. Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about this asset library, and what kind of Megascans tutorials you'd like to see in the future! :)
Make a Megascan/Blender tutorial using only free assets.
Yes
And can you pls. Make a video on how we can make a city by using unreal engine
First Twinmotion now Mega scans. EPIC GAMES taking Archviz to the next level
Might do this on my Blender Channel :)
I was already impressed getting Twinmotion for free, and now with Megascans.. this is heaven.
Fun stuff for sure!

No clue - sounds like something to post on their forums
It is now paid not for free in 2021
What´s the difference between Quixel Megascans and Quixel Bridge?
Megascans is the cloud library/store - bridge helps you manage the asset library and bring them into your rendering programs
I followed all the steps but I'm still getting a "Subscribe" button instead of a "download" button. Do you have any clue about what's happening?
Did you sign in using an Epic Games account?

Is free for 30 days. You can download as many free scans as you want in that time 😁

need to invert the blue channel
