- It was the first gathering of the Players for the new year. Everyone is itching to start the season and Ivan graciously hosted an event at his mechanical lair. Coffee with booster and fresh baked bread! Ivan's 690 still has no engine installed. We finally figured out what was wrong with Fred's front end. Marc-Olvier added some much needed bling to his WR250. Marc showed up with a vintage Honda XL100 with a gunky carb and some seriously sketchy wiring. Drilling, welding, milling, sanding, hammering, spinning, crimping and even some painting got done. We were so busy we forgot to order pizza!

Missed you guys and your humor! Especially when you all get together for these maintenance parties. Glad to see that you've successfully dug pathways through the snow between your households to where you could get together--and now I'm sure you anxiously await the spring and that first ride in that soft slushy muck!
The Classique is the first big ride of the season. Should be over 800 riders over two days this year.

Ivan is well equipped with various octanes.
LOL you guys working on bikes and I just had to clean the last big dumping of snow out of the drive way . Still keeping the snow blower in working order while my bike sleeps under a tarp.
As someone who is officially sick of winter I declare it over in Montreal! Now we need a lot rain to wash all the salt off the roads.
Speaking of water, my F650 GS (800cc) took in water in a river crossing in 2019. Later that day the water/oil was drained and ejected from the cylinders. Then after a few flush through of clean oil, its still going perfectly today. It has also now done close to 150,000 km. Amazing bike, especially with upgraded Wilbers suspension.
These bike are amazingly tough. Always amazed at how much abuse they can take.

Hi guys. Thanks for letting us join you :-) What is the stuff you put into the battery connector? Some kind of isolating grease?
Yes it is electrical dielectric grease. Hopefully to preserve the wiring on this old Honda from the green death.

Never know here. Least year spring came early and were on the trails in April. Some years still snow out there in late may.

It was. Throw a bunch of guys in a garage with some bikes and some boosted coffee and it is hard not have a good time. Surprising how much we actually got done in a few hours.
I love these, 24 minutes felt like 10.

True. Have ride from 2020 that has some good Ural stuff in it I need to edit.
@@AwesomePlayers I bought one based on your videos. A 17 and put 10,000 miles on it. We need more positive videos in the ural community vs people who rode one once and heard about the “reliability”
When drilling out stainless steel rivets, you want the drill speed to be low because a fast drill speed will harden the metal. Slower speed makes it much easier.

Do you know what is the risk of riding with a lower triple that is bent ? And what are the symptoms when riding to actually know that it is bent ?

Bike actually handled fine. Fred just saw that his bars were turned while riding straight. Also from the rear we could see that one shoulder was higher than the other.
@@AwesomePlayers thanx ! I'm trying to find why I have a weird noise on my lower triple ;) my shoulders seem to be aligned tho👌😅
@@cracotator A weird noise? That is odd. When does it happen?
@@AwesomePlayers it happens on hard compression, it's like if the aluminum is working. I can reproduce the exact same sound when tightening or untightening the 2 screws on the right side of the lower triple. I have it since a couple of thousands of kilomètres now, and the bike handles perfectly well 🤷🏻♂️ its just annoying
@@cracotator When you tightened the front axle did you bounce the front end up and down a few times while the axle was still loose?. I would support the bike and loosen all the pinch the bolts on both sides as well as the axle. Make sure the forks don't just fall out. Let everything rotate to where it wants to be and then tighten triples to spec. Bounce the front end a few time and then tighten the axle last. Are you using a torque wrench? Those bolts are tightened to I think around 30 NM.

want a garage only for motorcycle as he has.- . have a garage but it is more of a storage place where my motorcycles also have to fit in and the tools. want one reserved only for motorcycle and tools. saw a wr250r there, had this one a few years ago but sadly sold it. never sell anything. just keep everything. it is even more worth now (over ten years later) then what i sold it for then. only downside was the to narrow wheelbase, a littel to flickery.
sold the wr250r in 2008 and for 3600 euros and now they are going for around 6000 (with similar km, mine had 22.000 km) - 14 ! years later there are more expensive now
Used prices are crazy right now.
