- Today we take another try at removing 500 ft/lb lug nuts with the MasterCraft 1/2" impact drill adapter. I've got 2 upgraded drills thanks to the Torque Test Channel. The first one is a DeWalt DCD805 and I finish off with a DCD998.

The DCD805 is a little sweet one, been using one for the last few months and it's a good size to power and probably the size DeWALT should be focusing on lately IMO. But it does feel more ... like killable? While the DCD998 is just a tank, it's like a work mule. Interested to see how you like the 805 long term, we have way too many drills to be using daily

True story. Happened today.
I go to my truck toolbox to get a pair of gloves. Digging around I find a left handed glove. More digging pull out another left hand glove. Dig. Left hand. Dig. Left hand. Dig. Left hand. Dig.Can you guess? Yep, left hand. Now, what are the chances I.....yep left hand. 7. Count 7. Finally I pull out a right-handed one.
Whatever entity causes this must be a part the ADA. The Anti-Destination Association.
That's the kind of thing that sets the tone of the day.

The 805 is awesome, I just picked up a second one. I keep one in the house and the other in my box with the others. Anything the 998/999 are too big for, the 805 is usually perfect for. Metal Chuck is a huge plus!

A work feller still uses the old Nicd style. Massive DeWalt drills, they're monsters. He has a local automotive battery shop that keep those old batteries running.
Did you know that companies had a hard time shrinking their drills down so small, not because of technology, but because peoples perception of smaller is less. They could have shrunk the size of drills down for years but felt better doing it overtime or gradually which is also the best way to make money.
I tell my wife, "its brushless, thats why its a smaller package" she don't buy it funk...🤷♂🤣

I have the 805 and a 999. The 805 does well with drilling hardwood and metal. The 999 will tackle concrete without complaint. Just make sure you use the handle and comfortable gloves.

FiunkFPV would be interesting to see your take on the open end swivel handle ratchet wrenches making their debut on the tool market. They are odd looking ratchet wrenches with a section cut out like a line wrench with a ratcheting center.
I’m sure they work but they look like more trouble than they’re worth.
@FunkFPV my thoughts exactly get half way around and get stuck without another tooth and you'd be screwed in a tight space with the inner gear blocking the lines ability to exit.

Well 'dating' might be a little much. It all depends on how good you are with your tool and more specifically where you put your tool.
Could you go find the biggest electric drill and test that adaptor out for us... Run it through its paces! Max Torque!

@@madtabby66 Fair. A lot of Elmer’s fans couldn’t accept the change and they left the glue space altogether. I hear many now consume Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore. I’d understand if it was Valspar, but then again, I’ve stuck with Elmer’s though thick and thin.
Old school Aviation Patch Repair Glue for a good time...if its sustenance you're after, Padding Compound Adhesive.👍
@@toxiccan175 Yea that stuff is the best, the polyvinyl acetate also known as PVA is a relatively tasty compound and one that entices my heart with great passion. Definitely up there as far as glues go and a key reason I’m never letting of Elmers glue.
I’m partial the Elmer’s rubber cement. It’s chewy 😊

I'm going to be honest, that handle goes in the the trash immediately. The only tool I left the handle on was a corded rigid.

Dewalt finally copied or uses the makita chuck. I always found makita had the best chucks
Makita usually uses Yukiwa Seiko chucks which are quite good.
