I have the DVD at home. I've been returning to this one song a million times, especially for the rhythmic bit right before the end. It brings me joy, and it is highly unlikeky that Felder, Hooper, Sample, Da Costa, Finnerty and Watkins didn't feel joy while playing this together, no matter how many times they did it during this period of time. I wish that groove never ended.
I remember driving straight past my house in order to hear the big phat groove just one more time!! This is one of about 10 tracks that would evoke such madness in me? Sample has about 4 tunes in that top ten!!
I've got the DVD. Am I a happy man? This one live made me think twice about some of their compositions, like this one, from the "Joe Cocker" album, that I still don't find really good. This rendition here is like a peaceful fire, I don't know how to say. It's like the proof that hapiness is not such a dumb concept. The last part where they're just playing plain funk is one of my ultimate favourite joints, especially when you an see Paulinho hitting them percussions.
The groove was Stix Hooper, only Stix could lay down that rhythm, such a unique style. When he left they completely lost this kind of swing like groove.
Barry Finnerty was a perfect match for this band. Phenomenon player who I saw several times with the Brecker Bros.
Joe sample...world class!!!

Smooth as always and i only wish we could still hear this live🤔
Paulinho da Costa from Brazil, studio session ace.
Barry Finnerty is absolutely Great !!! Live or Studio(BAD BF)
A great theme and a very impressive bassline from Eddie Watkins.
Every time this theme sounds better...
I listen it again and again.
Joe Sample is the man!!!!!!

This tune came along at the very best time in my life. I just love it.
Une musique entraînante et très élaborée cependant. Bravo à Joe Sample et à son groupe. Encore un musicien que l'on regrettera.
Je me réjouis beaucoup que ça te plaise Mlle !
Nous irons les chercher, d'accord ?
Wow!!! What a bass line..

No one say amything......
I love this fat Rhodes sound!
Larry on the gutar!
lol that is not Larry Carlton. Doesn't even closely resemble him, looks more like Lee Ritenour, but it's not him either.
If you can find it being played any better than this, don't come back from that place, because this is BAD!!!!
