I think marling has developed his own style with the double curved tails. He seems to really enjoy putting them in all sorts of baits.
its pretty much a working class zero shovel tail with just a split down the middle someone else already made that design he jus put a split down the middle its a good design tho I will admit.
K
@@SneakersAnonymousMatt I dont mean the paddle tail. I mean the area between the tail and body. He often puts a double curved thing on them. It looks kind of like a drawn bird(only here it is upside down)
Wow, he uploaded two days in a row!
Nice
“Just Wow” really is the only way to summarize that masterpiece!
“Oh no dad is in the bathroom with the lure again talking to himself... I’m gonna pretend like I didn’t see anything...”
Lol well played
Lol
This took me a second to realize what you were talking about lol
Hi MB, I have a cool idea.
Make a rainbow colored bait, just paint as many colors as you can and see if it works 😂.
Nah bruh. That's gay
@@evanjohnson9269 thats kinda the point. Merlin the master he makes everything cool.
@@aaronk4310 super straight bait. It even rhymes.
I have been a soft plastic swimbait designer for many years and have a lot of experience fishing them. One of the most productive ways for me, is to let the bait hit bottom, and swim pause them on bottom. I swim them about two or three feet just inches off bottom and pause them on bottom for a moment and repeat. Bass love to ambush baits in this way. Most people fish these baits way too fast and miss out on a lot of good fish. I love your talented works and your inventiveness to look outside of the box. I have many designs that the world has never seen, myself. Keep up the good work, and sell this bait. It is a winner, if you can get people to realize the effectiveness of this design.
Stunned at your carving skills alone. Then to craft a lure like that... wow.
This dude is the Bob Ross of fishing lures. Never thought I'd enjoy watching someone carve a block of wood as much as I do David Bull. You guys are insanely legit.
Suh dude. You should try a mermaid lure. Do large mouth like mermaids? Idk, but I need to.
Or Misty's lure in pokemon..haha

A Magicarp lure would be sick

An Otter lure wood be coil
BRAVO! That last one was perfection even if the colors didn't align as you intended. When I first began Bass Fishing (Around 1976), the most popular color was GRAPE! They made a Grape worm that almost resembled the glow of a Black Light as it sank. It was a really cool color. Then it went away, as did most things that were Grape. Great Video. PEACE
Let’s all just take the time to pray for those who haven’t caught a fish in 2021🙏🏻😞
i havent been fishing since 2019.
thank you i need anything i can get
Thoughts n prayers are much appreciated

@@user-xj3mo2lx9z that is impossible
Wow that last pour looks just like a Shorthead Redhorse.
Once it gets warm enough, you owe us a ton of bonus fishing sessions to use all of the amazing stuff you've made this winter!
Great video, and to whoever may be reading this I hope that you are having a great day.
Your lures are like therapy! Love your craftsmanship!
Without a doubt my absolute favorite soft plastic bait you've made. And that's saying something with what you've already created. Stunner !!!
i dont know why but i freaking love this! i think its the whole process of designing the bait, carving it and making the mold and then pouring the plastic, i could watch this all day!
That's a lot of nouns in the title.
Also, Chip bait come summertime
Hey do you know what ever happened to chip
Finally back to your good wood working skills I miss these videos
Already liked and haven't even watched it yet lol hope everyone catches their P.B this year 😁
Pb Smalley is my goal this year!
@@m.m.aautos6608 nice man :) my biggest is 6.6 on the old poppin imagine in baby bass,it was my grandpa's, one of the ones that had the copied Bill Dance signature on it,it is destroyed but still I still love it,im hoping to at least get an 8lb this year, fingers crossed
As long as I catch a fish that's pretty much guaranteed since I'll be only saltwater fishing for me this summer
I caught an 8lb on 10lb line so if I catch anything bigger I think I might have a heart attack
Got a 12 lb lmb a couple weeks ago. Smashed my Pb.
Ahh... back to the old asmr style video, I love it. Not that I don't enjoy your ramblings... but the beginning of this one is just what I needed.
*Watches him craft an extremely nice carved bait* me: "Wow thats really impressive..." mb: "I made two by the way"
Mold Box is one of my favorite bands! Great bait man! Finn was like “ no bath for me, pops”
2 in a row? No way!
Just want to say your changing the world one bait at a time! Been watching you for a few years now enjoy the work.
That outro was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen on UA-cam
Your choice of pour music will always be remembered. Thank you.
This is such an awesome design and idea, if stuck in nasty catfish scent I wonder if some 100lb or more flatties would smash it!!! 🔥🔥
I just posted I need some of these for the Veterans to try on flatties. We are a Veterans Organization and take Vets out catfishing free of charge here in Missouri. I bet the Veterans would have a blast catching big flatties on these things.
@@warrorcatfishing4320 that’s awesome
Your videos are always just so chill to watch and relax. Sit back in the ol' chair, grab some chips, grab a beer, and enjoy the carving, pouring, and painting
"So you can see me pouring something " *blocks camera with cup*
Yet again! You manage to post while I'm at work! I can't wait to see this though, looks cool, and interesting! Love your vids! Hope to meet ya someday on the river.
I heard “I Stay Away” Alice in Chains for a millisecond. You’ve got the best taste in music of any and all UA-camrs I watch.
Would you ever consider making a big version for musky? That would be an awesome musky bait
I was thinking the same thing. And would definitely be interested in buying a few
@@billw2087 agreed! I really want him to start selling plastics instead of just the mold
Yelp, I want one or five.
There is something really satisfying about watching the wood working process - classic Marling Baits!!
You're the master of SwimBaits.
I cant explain how amazing your work is
Can you make a boney-eared assfish lure? It's a real fish, look it up.
that thing is horrendous
Dude! You are so awesome! When I suggested you make a trash fish I didn’t even think you would see it! Can’t wait to see you catch a 5lber on that thing.
Hello
I from Poland
I great you 😄
Also very glad I’ve been able to get my bait making fix twice this week. I have a really good creek that I wish marling baits would fish with me. All the way out in Tennessee
A video yesterday AND a video today, I’m spoiled!!
I love that mold that is so awesome. I don't think you ever make anything that is garbage.
Wow, we're being spoiled.
That is one of the most awesome baits I have seen yet. You have a real winner with that mold.
What was that closing song? I love it
It sounded like 4 Trombones
3 episodes in a week! What a blessing!
Who disliked this video? There's nothing to dislike about it. Gorgeous bait man. Looks awesome.
For the molds, I just hot glue some dollar store foamboard together. Super quick, doesn't leak, and can bend or cut into any shape easily with a Lennox gold utility knife. It takes a lot of mold boxes to go through a $1 sheet of foamboard
I absolutely lost it when he was playing with his bait and dropped it 😂
Quality!
Awesome bait! Beautiful colors on those pours. Wow the action shot in the water at the end. Just wow.
I’m glad you started talking at the end. I like your running commentary, I learn so much and you’re so nice.
Did we just get back to back videos from the man himself??? I ain’t complaining!
My favorite carving yet it's absolutely 🔥🔥
Just got done working 24+ hours in less then two days and this made me feel better and laugh. Your skills and character really shine through in this video, thanks for making it! On to the next bait, be free!
the amount of detail he puts into the lure is amazing
The pure consecration with the knife.... you can't teach that level of focus!
Wow...So amazing !!!
Your craftsmanship is very exquisite.
My first time ever seeing this process. FREAKING AMAZING BRO! WOW!
The consistent uploads are back! Love it 👊🏻
You're spoiling us with this 2 days in a row thing
Awesome. Two in two days! I'd love to see you make an inline spinner and go for trout, or maybe a soft plastic bluegill.
I love the time and effort put into such detailed baits even though we know bass will eat blocks and balls of wood.
I would love to see this as an Epic Bait Molds mold with the big chunky scales and everything. Having a 2-piece version of this mold would open up even more possibilities.
I used to use that Smooth-On silicone to make molds for bird heads for taxidermy. I also used to make rock molds for making taxidermy habitat rocks & bases, and I used the Smooth-On Dragon Skin silicone. That stuff is very stretchy & is tough as steel. Molds from it last forever. It pours well & holds detail. It's somewhat clear, so you can see if you have any air pockets.
The curve on that wooden tail is amazing 😍
DUDE!!!! That lure was absolutely STUNNING!!!! The detail was incredible. I'm blown away, mouth agape at this lure. You're amazing, Brother...
They look amazing, I’d use them over rough ground for my sea fishing from the shore they look like rockling as well as the pleco you made it to look like
Just got back from fishing today and saw this. Perfect timing. Even though I got skunked today one fisherman got a carp so this video is very fitting.
4:19 Nice carving I can really see that working 👍🏽🇺🇸
Just want to give you a thumbs up, I've been an avid subscriber since you tackled your homemade wooden reel! Every video you post never disappoints.
Hey I'm just spit balling here, but when the silicone is fresh in the mold and you want air bubbles out, maybe put the mold on an orbital sander when it isn't completely full to shake some air bubbles to the top? It's worth a shot. Keep the awesome videos coming bro.
That is a GREAT looking master carving. Very satisfying.
This is the best video among all.
You could make a "testing tube" for your baits with a thick pvc pipe and 2 caps. The cut part glued upside down makes the base. As for the bait, just wow :P
OMG that tail action looks better then any soft plastic swimbait I've ever seen!
Litteraly my favorite video ever!
looks epic! Can't wait till you try it later! Back to back videos this is awesome! Always nice to see an upload man!
Man you are such a good artist with your craft, very impressive. How can fish resist this bait.
I want to know why 10 people gave this a thumbs down. this is one of his best
I can totally see a pike or musky crushing this in the shallow flats! Looking forward to seeing what you reel in with it.
That tail action was awesome to see. It makes the bait actually look like it's alive and swimming.
I cannot be the only one who finds listening to the sped up music entertaining.
I don’t even fish but I’ve watched all of your videos. I love this channel.
Your skills are absolutely mind boggling..
Awesome!! I love it. Amazing vision, superb craftsmanship, and such a fun idea. Keep up the great work :)
The intro to this video took me back to the early Marling episodes. It almost surprised me when you spoke.
Yes! Another mold made out of wood!
Awesome! It’s o-fish-al, I’m going to try making a mold half as pretty as this.
I take light weight fast drying spackle an spread it all along the bottom of master then q-tip it till its a clean line all around, completely eliminates flashing on the finished product. It was a major game changer for me
This video is so nice it reminds me of the making a batch of swim baits thing just quiet carving lol
I could watch him pour baits all day. I want an hour long video of just open pours😂
Nice! Made one similar to this but boot tail. Loving it!
My favorite bait hes made
Carving with a box cutter!! Love it!!
Wow so many uploads lately! You are spoiling us!
This is the third video this week I love it
Man that’s awesome. The whole process was cool to watch. The colors, the way it swims, you did awesome
Who else has been loving these quick uploads
Very nice, and very realistic! Top notch
Will never get enough of this channel😍
