This whole surprise EP was awesome. This song was so different and I do really like it. It just shows their talent and ability to change gears. I had a similar experience to Paul with his wife listening to Spiritbox with my Mom. She actually likes the song Blessed Be and she doesn't listen to anything metal.

Great reaction. The amount hate this song is getting from some reactors is hilarious to me. I completely respect their opinions, but these three songs they released are so good in my opinion. And all 3 are great in different ways. One of the reasons I love Spritibox. You should definitely check out the other two. Sew Me Up sounds to me like Mike figured out a way to make his guitar sound like it was played under water and Hysteria is great in an old type Spiritbox way. At least to my ears.
To be fair I didn't like this song at all when it premiered, but have gone back and listened to it over and over again. Now I love it. People need to give music more than a single listen sometimes to appreciate it's greatness.

I think it's fkn awesome, and sounds exactly like all the other spiritbox stuff. EBeats, keys and syncopated techno type riffs have always been their thing.
I am absolutely excited for this band. I'm loving most of their new stuff that they are releasing. And the fact that Harper did their song on AGT Is probably a really good thing for metal. And I vote HUGE YES for a reaction to Harper's single Falling lol. It is such a banger!

This is Dance Core. It's the byproduct of Garbage and Deftones influences for sure.

I think you're the first one to say this sounded like Deftones but I can see that. They were absolutely going for that 90's/2000's metal sound with this EP. I got more Powerman 5000 + Garbage from this song, but 'Sew Me Up' sounds like it could be a Korn song to me. I'm going to keep suggesting you guys go back and check out their live version of 'The Mara Effect' - I STILL think it's the best thing they've ever released.

It's my first listen to anything by Spiritbox. I can't believe how much this whole song has a feel like mid 90s band Garbage, taken to another level. I wonder if Garbage was a major influence on them? What do you think?

Well, it's fresh in some kinde of Spiritbox way, but I can say it's more like a pitched down Fear Factory style from "Digimortal" than Deftones. Musically ofcourse. Courtney vocals in some way remindes me - can't precise why - on Marilyn Manson from the same era of late ninethees... but still is quite awsome, unusual and entertaining song no maters of it's influences! :)
Besides of that, I like authenticity in yours reactions, so keep it up guys! Great channel!! :)

@@ThunderRooster Definitely worth to check them out! When I'm thinking about industrial metal, first thing about this genere is always Fear Factory - fast drum kick, synths, interweaving vocals from harsh to clean. If you have watched Mortal Kombat movie from 1995 then you probably be familar with one of theirs songs (excellent and hard as fuck "Zero Signal").
Besides of that, they also record together with Gary Numar new version of his "Cars", worth to checkout too - completly opposite style of song than usuall they makes (maybe event woth to react on this! ;) ).
So yeah, after years of pause, I discovering metal once again in some way because of you guys which is pleasant experience. Thank you so much for the effort you've put in onto this channel! :)
