    Hi again,
At 25:26 there’s a statue (forgot the name! Not gargoyle as you said..they’re for running water) on the right of the screen, on St. Bart’s (Bartholomew’s), of a man holding Gods Word over a large dog with a girl in front of the dog. Well…..as I rode over Lobdon one summer, a middle aged man asked me if I knew the story to that ..I didn’t so he proceeded to tell me, first asking if I got easily offended ..I don’t …so he continued …. Apparently the statue is of a Vicar there who caught his daughter in a lewd act with the dog 😮 and so seeing as they did t have Facebook to shame them then….. he had the statue made..for all the congregation to walk past every week and see what a despicable thing his daughter had done! True or not ..most locals know this tale. My sons friends were over from Australia and New Zealand and we took them over the Moors from Syke to Whitworth .ending up in the pub just down from St Barts, and I told them this tale 😂 so the tale is travelling far n wide ..like the internet lol
There’s a tiny museum in Whitworth that could tell you about the Doctors and their fancy grave (I can’t spell mausoleum …oh unless that’s right, as the iPads put out a red line under it now! ) as apparently they were one of the first Doctors (got a lot to answer for since eventually greed took over instead of health!) and I also read that there was someone who fixed animals broken legs with splints beforehand, so people would go to that person ..can’t remember bet if it was a man or woman, to get their broken bones fixed, so it may stem from there, but don’t quote me on it 😂
In the museum there’s a stuffed dog, and my hubby has found out that the owners of the dog were my 3rd or 4th great Grandma and her husband (my step Grandad) 😀 He even found out we have a connection to Florence Nightingale from another Grandparent 😮 but to me, both the dog and Florence are amazing 😂. My 9th Great-Grandparents (from my Mums Dad’s line) are Florence Nightingales 5th Great Grandparents 😃also due to my Mums Dads family all moving to Littleborough from Darley Dale in Derbyshire due to a family scandal (his sister got pregnant to a Canadian soldier ..who wanted to marry her, but her parents wouldn’t allow it, he went back to Canada and they all moved over here 😊. We’ve been to Darley Dale (maybe Darly 🤔) and found graves of relatives.
Right I’ve waffled enough and haven’t even got past St Barts churchyard yet in your video 🤣😂, I’ll watch the rest now x x x
Well done if you got through all that ☺️ love Jesus And Me🕊️✝️🌈😇😘🥰😍 x x x Julie from Rochdale x

That's all fascinating. The Dog story is a shocker 😮. Not quite as scandalous, but the story reminds me of when I visited the Sistine chapel in rome and heard the story of Biago. Apparently him and Michelangelo had a disagreement. As retribution Michelangelo depicted Biago in the fresco as having donkey ears and a snake biting his private parts. It remains there to this day! My great grandmother used to attend mass there and met Padre Peo..

@@BikeTrekkingwithKarl ha ha that’s awesome, thanks for sharing, and how amazing that your Grandma attended mass there, equal wow ✝️🌈🕊️😇😘🥰😍 Another son of mine got me into Mashtag Brady on You Tube, he called it the 16th Chapel lol wondering where the other 15 were 🤣😂
He makes me laugh out loud, n I must admit, I had a little chuckle when you leaned over your bike to get your lost glove and it fell 😂 keeping it real 👌🏼
