I've been doing new injectors, intake, pump and downpipe the last 3 days. The injectors can go to hell! But I got em. Doing the intake as I write this, can't wait to get it tuned 🤘
I like both Cobb and Grimmspeed parts. But for the intake I will go with Cobb. The aluminum pipe will heat soak and expand unlike the Cobb which is silicone. So not as much heat soak and it will not expand. Just my 2 cents.
@@tjbugeye you'd be surprised how hot the silicon hose will get. Honestly i don't think it'd make much difference as the direction of the pipe leads away from the engine. My 50 cents
Okay so I want to get this intake but I want to make sure it will fit with y'all front Mount intercooler? Cuz I can find any pictures? Or answer if the 2 will fit together.. I did see it worked with the WRX but not the STI ..
So I am thinking about getting the Grimmspeed intake only think is the turbo inlet is not in the intake like Cobb or is it separate lol😅? Does it go on top or bottom separate piece
I recently just purchased the red version of this and don’t know what to do next. Or what should I buy next before I tune it so that I don’t waste money tuning. Any recommendations of what I should do after purchasing this piece?
That's a good question. We normally direct customers to upgrade ebcs, intake, and downpipe then get a tune. It is important to get tuned soon after installing an intake and downpipe. Getting a tune will give you the best gains from your investment and also make sure that your engine is running strong and healthy.
who do you see to tune your sti? i am new to this game and i just bought a 2019 sti. Do you go see local subaru shops or a custom tune shop ? or do you just do it yourself? thanks.
Nope! Since this is not designed as a long-ram intake which feeds down into the fender/bumper area, you won't have to worry about driving through the rain with it.
Yes, we do recommend a tune after installing an intake. With increased airflow your air fuel ratio will change. In order get the most from your GS Intake you'll want to get that done.
@@marconibaybayan4116 1. they said what will happen. Air fuel ratios will be off, the car will run lean, your engine will knock more than a Jehovah’s Witness, and eventually you WILL break something. 2. More importantly, You asked professionals if you need a tune and they said yes. Your response is “wHaT If i DoNt” “will YOUR intake create problems?” If you’re worried about it creating problems get a tune lol don’t blame the intake when your shit breaks

Love the horn in the audio
That's how I designed mine. People will always say, "but, but, but, the air will be compressed by the turbo anyway..."

Better then Cobb. That's awesome. Next we need a FMIC for STIs ;)

Interesting piece. I am highly considering it over COBB and any other since it's actually designed to work and appears to solve all inconveniences.
Was it supposed to come with that collar around the hole for the intake tube? Because mine did not.

I love it I have it for my 16 wrx and it’s mean
Is there any videos showing how it sounds during a drive?? I have looked all over UA-cam.
How does this compare to the Cobb ?

how do you do the MAF sensor part? That wasn't shown... =(
Is it carb legal for use in California?
At the moment it is not. We are currently working on getting C.A.R.B certification for the intake.
Hello, will I be able to tune it after with a Cobb access port?
We recommend doing a protune to get the best results.
do you need to tune up when you change air intake?
Do you recommend with a downpipe,intake doing injectors ? The 1050x ?

Hello is it worth it to tune it just having the grimmspeed intake? I just got mine today and installed it. Thanks

You can use an access port and do OTS tunes but they are generic tunes. Preferred See a shop that does protunes or you can do an E-tune.
Do I need to tune when I install intake
What kind of rims does he have on there?

When installing an intake is it an absolute must to get a tune?
Yes, we do recommend getting tuned for a full intake system!

Their install guide says it's compatible with COBB stage 1 OTS map, but as always, a pro tune is recommended.
