  • In this video, we'll show you how to remove and reseal school bus windows. Our bus is pretty old and the windows leak, so we decided to completely reseal them. The steps are pretty simple, but it can be pretty time consuming, so make sure it's not supposed to rain while your windows are out!
*NOTE: we used TWO 1/2" weather strips stacked on top of each other because the gap was so thick. It was a bit tight, but the weather strips compress.

Hey! We’re Chris and Jessie and we’re making the best of this life by living out of our self converted Promaster Van. We have a passion for wellness, music, craft beer, and are dedicated to not taking ourselves too seriously. Our goal is to visit all 50 states, 63 National parks, countless breweries, and share our adventures with you!
One day, shortly after we started dating, Jessie mentioned she had the bucket list item to live in a van for a summer. Chris thought this idea was absolutely crazy at first, but after a little more thought and research, decided living in a van would be exactly the kind of excitement he would enjoy. We both love seeing new places, spending time outdoors, and don’t need a whole lot of physical things to be happy. In January 2019, after just 8 months of dating, we purchased our 2019 Ram Promaster and began converting it into our future tiny home. One year later, we finished the build and hit the road!
We’re excited to see where the road takes us and to share our adventures with you! Big thanks to all of you who have supported us and encouraged us to live out our #vanlife dream!

    Hello from London, England!
I love what you did with your last van and I am looking forward to joining you on this new journey. I'm really excited to see what you come up with on this build. Very best wishes 🍻

Ahh thanks for following along! We're hoping to make it over to London at some point, so we'll have to get good recommendations!

Hi guys! A quick question that may seem kinda silly: where are you storing and working on the bus? I want to acquire a bus and work on it, but I can't think of any places off the top of my head that I could store and work on it!

Hey! We were building at a storage unit. Luckily, we found one that was totally cool with us building in our spot as long as we cleaned up really well after each build day. We kept a generator there so we could use power tools. Hope that helps!

May I ask how much you acquired the bus itself for? I am a new subscriber and missed it if it was said previously, and from which state was it purchased? Another question is "would you have any reason to leave either of the stock A/C units", say if you wanted AC while driving, or is doing the delete superior, then getting a mini split or whatever unit is best for AC?

Yeah, of course! We bought the bus for 10k in Texas. It was a little more than we wanted to spend, but it was the right length, great engine and very limited rust so we bought it.
As for the AC units, you definitely could keep them and use them while you’re driving but honestly, I don’t think they work all that well and they’re more of a nuisance for how big they are. We decided not to do AC at all (we only had a fan in our van) and we’re totally fine. But we also try to avoid the desert in summer 🤷🏻‍♀️ we do have a couple DC fans we use when it gets hot but having all the windows open for a breeze is great!
      Hope that helps 🤗
