Thank you, this is a $500 ++ job at your local garage or dealer and you saved me a ton of money. Ebay parts are cheap and your excellent video and instructions are perfect for us weekend warriors. Thanks again.
Great video.. Getting ready to start mine.. this engine has a common problem of the cam cap bolts coming loose… Always verify torque on them while you have the cover off… Just a suggestion for folks…
Thank you for the video. It will cost me $388 at the shop and can't afford it. Smoking like crazy .Valves are $40. Definitely ,considering doing it myself.
Dude , that throttle plate Tho, could have used a clean, but nice, learned a lot about my 2003 escape. Those seals going brittle tells me i should replace them. Going to keep this escape going as long as i can. Thanks for the Vid.. Peace out
Thats where the seam is at where the front and rear cover meets with the head. Sometimes they are very slightly mismatched so a dab of RTV helps guarantee that it doesn't leak.
I have a 2002 Mazda tribute and iv been a Tech 40 years and its my mazda Nightmare doing the rear cover but did you clean out the oil from the spark plugs????
