Good stuff. I am a Diver. I am now Retired with Injuries. most of my Dives were SPEARFISHING out of DAUPHIN ISLAND AL. But my Son & I did our Certification Dives in Cyprus Springs & Vortex Springs. & We did a little Cave Diving there. But not too this Extreme. I started Freediveing as we would get hot wile Commercial Fishing for Red Snapper & King Mackerel in 1990 & then was Certified but most of my Dives were at Night. I love Flounder & would Dive with nothing but a Pole spear & 2 Dive Lights 1 on my head & 1 hand light. & Would spear them & stack them up on the Pole like Pancakes. These Dives were 14 to 22 miles offshore. In middle of the Night around Shipwrecks.
My wife and I have watched all 4 parts. 1 each night. We started on Monday Night with part 1. Then part 2 so on and so forth. I do wish that I had commented on them on, the nights that we watched them. Instead of me going now, and posting comments on several of them tonight…..
Amazing series ! I watched one after the other. Fascinated and in awe. What a shame that these brave men have never been recognised for their achievements in exploring the waterways and caves under our feet. Not only for their amazing discoveries but for helping to refine the equipment and making it safer to use. I couldn't help marvel when I looked back and thought of the breathing tube made from bicycle parts and hosepipe that started off this series.... Brave men indeed !!! Many thanks to all who took part and to SID PEROU for sharing this with us. Carole. Kent. UK
Absolutely brilliant Scares the living daylights out of me But so happy to be educated in something that I have heard about but not seen much of in my 50 odd years of being on this cheese full of holes planet Thanks to all involved
Watched all the series. To me a place of nightmares but fascinating all the same. Seriously need a pair to do this at the time and with equipment they had for sure
... Here is the monumental saga of courage, curiosity, caution, creativity, camraderie and competitiveness commensurate with the view of our world from Everest's summit.
I have just enjoyed watching this video whilst in Virtual Reality using a Gear VR headset! It really added to the atmosphere. Bet you didnt think thhat one day that would be how your film woud be watched when you made it!!
Im a deep tec diver tec diver and cave and cavren and ice diving certified here in the United States also a dive team member of my fire dept for mostly body recoverys . I like cave diving but dont beat a deep tec ship wreck discovery dive to find a lost ship
That’s cool but have you dived in a cave on a makeshift bike part breathing apparatus? Haha just kidding. I’d like to get into it some day but just don’t have the money at the moment. That’s awesome that you’ve done that. Seems breathtaking (pun intended 😜)
What was going on with Yucken? Does anyone have any ideas? Was he stuck somewhere and had to go thru a labyrinth to find a hole hed fit thru? No explanations or answers about that
I am in a bit of a conflict...What these guys do is exploring dangerous places which do not have any value for nobody but themselves. So when such a cave diver has a problem and needs to be resqued other people are riscing their lives to recover their bodies or to bring them back alive. So..you understand what I mean? Of course people can not sit on their hands when a family needs closure or somebody can be saved..

Watched all the episodes in a row . Perou's documentaries are compelling and pardon the pun "breathtaking". Thank you for sharing the videos.

I now understand the meaning of commensurate. Thank you and I agree!

That sounds so cool!!! How do you do that. Like what set do you have and what not. I'm older and don't really know technology
@@jessicahonor233 he stated he used the Gear VR headset. But that was 4 years ago there are better options now
Excellent, thanks. RS Stewart - Jamaican Caves Organisation
This is so interesting!

Wonderful, what history. These films are treasures. Are they available on DVD or something?
Fantastic series, I can not work out how cave divers have the testicles to do what they do....pure bravery or insanity, I cant tell which.
A Little of column A and a little of column B 🥴🌊
Probably the next reality T.V series. Celebrities go cave diving!
I would love to learn how to Scuba Dive but I just don't have the Finances to do it. I hope to learn some day
Was that Rob Palmer in the middle at 17:29?
9:00 Glad to see Tim from the office finally quit and picked up a new hobby in diving.
I just can't believe they do this.. I love water, but my own breathing overrides everything
I love test tube for things like this...
After a particularly heavy session I fell down a man hole. After what seemed like days I resurfaced in Emmerdale farm.
Did Hessenmier try to pull one over on Geoff in that incident? Or was he just telling him he was going around because he knew how to get out?
I wish I had the guts to do this.
Myyyyyyyyy Lord. Look just look at those shoulder-biting-cutting-into you straps, He’s using on his air tanks. MAN,-O-MAN.
What was going on with Yucken? Does anyone have any ideas? Was he stuck somewhere and had to go thru a labyrinth to find a hole hed fit thru? No explanations or answers about that
Thank you! :-)
Amazing. The china shop
23:55 who knew Mick Jagger was a cave diver ?
Its ok i read the manual from end to end x
Dive with a buddy...these guys all suck at getting each others back, absolutely shameful...
Rule still is to save urself. A buddy is to tell rescuers ur in trouble. By the time help gets there, ur gone when cave diving
47 miles
I would rather have root canal treatment
