ZSJ, the 🫀 and soul of New Japan, and the embodiment of perseverance and grinding to get to this place in his career, I remember back when he was in Suzuki-Gun and thought to myself 'he has all the tools to get to the top (and he speaks fluent Japanese) if he stays the course (and staying in Japan during the Pandemic was huge)'
Remember, not only will Zack be the first foreigner to win in the Main Event of Wrestle Kingdom in the Tokyo Dome with the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on the line as well as the first to retain in the Tokyo Dome twice in two days in a row (after his match against Ricochet at Wrestle Dynasty), but he has a match which is the final battle against Hechicero on January 11th at Battle in the Valley, once Zack gets through Shota and Ricochet in the Tokyo Dome, his match against Hechicero will Main Event Battle in the Valley for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship
I am Happy for Zack. I have been a fan of him for years and I'm so proud to see him as the champion of njpw. He proves thar hardwork pays off in the end.
Shota will end up going after a secondary Title. Zack Sabre Jr retaining the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship in the Tokyo Dome twice is so Zack can be the first to retain it there twice in two days and to be the first foreigner to win in the Main Event of Wrestle Kingdom in the Tokyo Dome. He's not letting that Title go
Good answers from Zack, but some of those questions were quite frankly ridicolous. Why would Zack think of himself as some sort of representative of other foreign wrestlers in Japan? What if you have british guy who wrestles as luchador or american guy, they probably won't see themselves in ZSJ. Imagine if US promotion sit down Japanese wrestler and asked him do you represent other foreign wrestlers outside US, they would get ridiculed for that. Also why would ZSJ care about Shota chances of becoming future ace, he's not close to him in kayfabe or real way, I don't recall ever seeing photos of Zack and Shota hanging with eachother after shows. Shouldn' t Zack think of himself as ace since he's the one who holds TOP PRIZE in the company? Logically Zack would more likely praise his teammates from TMDK (Fujita and Oiwa) as future aces since they're part of his stable. Zack even makes fun of ace thing in this very video. And last of all, NJPW higher ups aren't doing Shota favour of connecting him with the fans by giving him ace moniker, letting him use Mox DDT finisher and making other wrestler hype him. In wrestling is all about “show me, don't tell me” approach, or at least should be. This way Shota looks more Roman Reigns post Shield, than Roman the tribal chief, where we hear from others how Shota is great, he's the ace, but it all sound fake and forced. Also fans are way smarter nowdays, you can't just put someone on TV and say he's the chosen one without fans rebelling against him.
Would that work, it probably would, but some reason they see Shota as some lovable face so has to be one. It's the old way of thinking that babyfaces have to be pure and by definition often bland. I get it they want to market him towards younger audiences and women, but in other promotion you can probably find plenty of examples of faces being pure but with edgy streak. I guarantee if by tommorow Mox would appeared in NJPW and offered him spot in his group, fans would probably do Bryan yes chant.
Screw you because Zack is representing what NJPW is in the past, present, and future. The only reason why they're losing some stars is because of that piece of crap Tony Khan
Wrestling has given me Everything. -Zack Sabre Jr.
That the spirit
Cannot wait to see him win in the Tokyo Dome. Love how he represents himself in Japan and as a fellow Brit, I’m super proud of him.
The fucking legend himself. Couldn't be happier for zsj. The young punk finally is on top
Truly a guy I believe when he says "I'm sticking with this ONE company until I retire"

A man of highest character & loyalty ❤
The best wrestler in the world today
The Best two wrestlers in the world both being British is a flex Ospreay + Zack Sabre Jr.
MVP 2024 Tokyo Sports Award 2024 Winner! 👍💪
Seems like a great guy, happy for him.
Go on Zack Sabre Jr, my fellow Brit!
He has all the tekkers
I am from south africa watching distance from your country, so anyone from japan?
ZSJ ALL DAY. 2 matches this weekend and 2 victories. TMDK.
Mad respect for Zack.
Still wanna see Shota win the title though

Give Shota the Ren Narita direction right now and it might work as well.

Giving the G1 and the world championship has been the best decision NJPW has made, the only loyal guy of NJPW along with Tama Tonga
Tama is gone lol
@AcornPlays ik that but he paid his dues, didn't go wherever the hype was
@@pd6258 fair point, he wasn't getting any younger, personally I'm glad he went, NJPW needed fresh blood in singles
Who will be taking the title from IWGP Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr?
Can honestly say ZSJ being champ really brings down the company worst champ they have had. The company is really lacking stars it’s hard to watch now
Man shut up & enjoy the product

It's not lacking stars, it's lacking substance.
