I had a customer who had a wife and daughters that use tons of toilet paper and he had to pump every year. I got him to buy a washlet, which is like a bidet, and it solved his problem. Saved him a lot of money in the long run.
We have a bidet attachment on each of our toilets. Two of them are in our summer cabin which has a 1000 gallon septic tank. Our home is on the municipal sewer. Our toilet paper usage has gone way down. Last year the tank was pumped. There was a thin layer of floating scum on top that didn't need a crust buster. As for the bidet, we wonder what we did without it, and for so many reasons other than saving toilet paper, such as feeling cleaner, and not having irritation from wiping. Ours uses only cold water, which doesn’t bother us at all, even in winter when the incoming water is very cold. I predict that anyone who installs a bidet will be very pleased with it.
I'm sitting outside on my patio next to flowers I just planted. The potting soil has some kind of manure in it, so I feel like I have smell-a-vision😂.

I myself use a bidet, my mom and sister laughed at me till they actually tried it! I still use toilet paper but its very little in comparison! Just enough to dry off and make sure the seats dry for the next use!

My ex had a bidet, and it changed my life, haha. Now I have one and I definitely recommend it. I only use a little bit of toilet paper to dry off and that's it.

I don’t know how you do it without violently vomiting but thanks to you and people within your profession our septic tanks can be clean. (Every 3-5 years).
When I was in Southeast Asia a few years ago, I had a tour guide that advised against flushing any paper. Sure enough, public restrooms had wastebaskets next to the toilets that were used for that purpose. There were also spray hoses under the tank to clean up with.
Sometimes I wonder if the buildup stops smelling after a certain period of time due to chemicals or bacteria cause if it didn't I couldn't put up with the smell..

In my house no toilet paper goes down the toilet. We do not have a septic but it prevents causing any clogs in the discharge pipe

I find that double ply always gets stuck. The cheap single ply stuff is okay as long as people arent stuffing like 10+ sheets at a time. Put small sections of thin toilet paper in and it works alot better. 2 ply is almost as bad as wipes.

A friend of mine had a really bad experience with a bidet. She is sticking to toilet paper for good now. Apparently when she turn it on she basically got power washed so hard that she claims to whistle when she walks. How the hell does that happen?
Looks like they use that thick squishy TP that's soft on the butt. It causes trouble in my septic tank because it seems to just swell up and not break up.
As europe septic user i can say we never had issues with toiletpaper :o

@@nonya13 Some home owner got 1 tank where poop is, and inside it got strong pump which it pulls and choops it. Later that stuff goes into septic tank and with bacteria works
That happens because the bacteria quit working.
These systems need a septic tank before them. Then the maintenance of the aerobic is not as bad. Imo.The trash tank supplied is far too small.

Here in Texas we would refer to a cesspit as a tank that doesn’t have a concrete bottom, so the effluent drains through the bottom. They’re outlawed here because it can cause groundwater contamination
