Love seeing force recon doing their thing
Ahhh the memories on this range.. Lots of long days and nights.
Did these drills on several occasions while I was in 1st Group. We would do the drills in the video and then progress to 2 man team and then full squad drills where we did react to contact, break contact, and other methods. Not gonna lie, it was a smoker by the time we got done. Awesome time.
How hard was selection for you
@@sigspearthumb8856 - Didn't go to selection. I served in the unit while in a support MOS at the time. We did those drills and more while I was in a SF battalion.
I was about to ask about SFAS then I saw you were support. Still neat tho brotha 💪🏻
@@ChiefMason - The recruiters will give you what you need to prepare for SFAS (I trained up for it early in my career before I got injured prior to attending selection). After the initial briefing, we were given a guide to follow that had laid out the proper workout routine to follow prior to attending. It was very successful with prepping guys for SFAS and it was gospel. Pretty sure that still exists and is given to those that volunteer. You only need a supportive chain of command that will allow you to train up for it.
Army SF loves utilizing marines in operations. Great partnership!
I’ve always wondered why they don’t use Army infantry more 🤔 I was an 11B, worked with SF a couple of times .. but seemed they preferred to work with Marines more. I think Army and Marine infantry are about the same, grunt.
@@BeyondThe-b3v I think a part of it has to do with a good handful of Army SF are prior service with the Marines. Some are grunts, some are from Recon and some had non-combat MOS’s.
@@BeyondThe-b3v it's because Marine Recon are Special Operations‐Capable, and are much more well trained than your typical infantry units. Easier and more effective to work with a unit who's got similar training to SF (CQB, MFF, Advanced marksmanship, ISR, combat diving, etc) than a unit who has maybe a quarter of the training which is 99% of infantry units.
@@BeyondThe-b3v depends on AO
@@deejay1534 Ricky ticky diva battalions sure love like to act like they are SOF capable. When I a 0311, we had more proven combat experience then recon Marines. As a matter of fact half of their E-5s were boots, the other half of E-5 actually had any combat experience. E-6 in recon were all combat vets, but E-4 and down were booters with shiny jump wings. Only E-5 and higher had dive bubbles. On average you all have more slots open for schools. I'll give you that much. Since you mentioned that 99% of infantry units don't have a quarter of your training, I'll go over what line companies actually have. CQB, we have plenty of guys that were part of Marine Corps Security Force Regiment (FAST companies) that get plenty of CQB, schools like MOUT, CQB and urban assault climbers, even Live Tissue (LTT). FAST guys bring that knowledge to the fleet once they are done. Line companies and guys that come form FAST get sent to infantry specific schools and courses, like assaults climbers, team leader's course, infantry squad leader's course, scout swimmers, coxswain, Marine Corps water survival school, Humvee driver's course, line companies also get slots for LTT like FAST companies, maritime navigator, CRRC mechanic, MCMAP instructor, you can try out for snipers, along with the usual TCCC, CLS work up stuff we need to do. Guys E-5 and lower can do any of this, as long as they aren't turds of course. For E-6 and higher infantrymen, you can get jump school, dive school, you can go to ranger school, you could try out for BUDS, but usually guys that are this far in their career never leave the USMC, in Coronado an instructor there told me that it has only happen once where the infantrymen actually passed BUDS and transferred to the SEALs, but it's kind of dumb since the navy let's anyone try out for BUDS, as per your reenlistment bonus. Recon, you guys do get a lot of training shooting beyond 550m which is is the limit of where infantrymen get a chance to shoot but unless you're a recon sniper, y'all aren't going passed 850m/900yards with a rifle. You get JTAC more often, but in country we had guys got JTAC qualified too. We had guys go to language school too to learn Pashto, as do recon. Infantrymen go on MEUs with recon elements, and if you look up the info on MEUs you would know that MEUs are considered to also be Special Operations‐Capable, since we have a boat company, a trac company and helo company. The difference between Infantrymen and recon is recon get a few more toys, a few more school per Marine on average, and have access to recon snipers, jump and dive school is open to you a lot earlier, especially jump school. But by no fucken means do recon has 99% better training then infantry units. This is the Marine Corps not the army. We get rid of everyone that doesn't deserve to be in the infantry. We're fine just being called grunts and infantry. Unlike recon that likes to think themselves among each other that they are some quasi SOF element. I'll repeat again infantry on MEUs or (FAST)security forces are considered to be Special Operations‐Capable, per Marine Corps doctrine, not my opinion. Just facts. In country we assisted SEALs, PJs, and other SO, SF units, even CIA as they need us. They also kept us safe thanks to there snipers and FOs. Recon also did there part, and got in where we needed eyes and encirclement of the enemy, but you sir are laying it a little thick.
Good to see skills being shared with fellow US troops as appose to overseas all the time.
Green berets rocking Unity Tactical risers
I saw that too. I’m surprised but not at the same time

Times Archives does it, once and again, with yet another Awesome Possum Military Video featuring USMC Force Reconnaissance and US Army Special Forces, where Celers, Silens,et Mortalis meets De Oppresso Liber...... This Prior Service USMC and US Army Veteran is impressed. Ooh Rah and Hooah!!🇺🇸🦅🗽📜🗡️
The army should say Hoorah instead of Hooah. It just sounds better as a battle cry
Since the SF guys seem to be CIF, it would make more sense to use the other Green Beret motto - "Nous Defions".
@@Despondent- Nahhhh
Believe the CIF companies were taken down, at least “officially.”
@@Despondent- hooah is used more of a sarcastic response to BS than an actual motivational tool or "battle cry"
Bro we can clearly see that he’s wearing an American flag patch. No point in trynna blur it
In that case the flag has the Special Forces CRF insignia, which consists in a skull with cross arrows on it
In the middle it has unit patches they can’t show
Its a ridiculous size patch. Also could it not be subdued to suit the uniform. 🙈🙈
@@Brian_tm_88 ahaha tell that to all the CAG dudes who wore big American flags in combat since Grenada
@@ChangedMountain1 I definitely would tell them. We all use subdued flags when in the Middme East or Africa. Also our SF use the IR flags as well.
One thing I love seeing in videos like this is that even Tier One operators make little range mistakes.
Tier2 to be exact
Yeah, they're humans, everyone makes mistakes.
That's why it's Called Training
@@victortorres1585 SF is tier 2. Recon isn’t any tier level since Recon/ Force Recon isn’t apart of SOCOM, they are a USMC asset even though they are a special operations capable unit. MARSOC Raiders though are tier 2 since they are the Marine Corps SOCOM unit. It all really comes down to mission sets and funding from whatever organization the unit belongs to
@@zander7283 that’s my understanding as well
Always found it interesting how slow some of these guys are sprint and acceleration wise but how great their overall endurance is based on the fact they've passed their training pipelines.
Are you talking from experience racing them, or based on footage?

Like them or not, every unit, foreign or domestic, likes what the USMC has to offer in regards to handling business on the battlefield. The various branches have always had a rivalry between them. But it says a lot when your competitors/peers give you credit when credit is do.
Teamwork makes the dream work.

Good thing you blurred out those patches...keep em' guessing. Could be any country with red white and blue with stars and stripes.
Good ole pre safartec, I went through this 3 week course in Okinawa back in 2019, great training
The higher the shooting skill, the more it resembles competition shooting.
I am not trying to hate on recon marines, but this really showed how far behind they are compared to SF guys
Gear wise, not skill wise
@@marine102192 Absolutely Skill wise
Been through all that training!! Good stuff..

Marines are Brave!!
Good works guys 👊🏻💥👊🏻
¡Es muy interesante este video,me encanta gracias!👍😊
Pretty sweet they're using unity fast riser mounts
The one Marine should probably ask for a drop for his holster, with all that gear it can be extremely hard to get pistols out of level 2 retention. I can tell he struggled with it a little probably because he dont practice drawing from the holster with all his gear on. Yes, I know what its like, I did SWAT while I was a police officer and used Safariland holsters.
Great video though, I like these types of videos
shouldnt be hard for a dude in SF to draw his secondary. its literally their job to know how to work their gear.
@@calebjohn1015 I agree, I didnt want to be too critical, but if they are going to carry the weapon they should be able to draw it better like their life depends on it. Which I am pretty sure if you are going for the pistol, your life depends on it.
I can tell how long most of these marines have been in based on there gun handling skills. Hard to move to a C-Grip when youve been using a mag grip for a decade.
Its really not that hard at all
Spetsnaz: "ахаха какие красивые дети"
Lmao these “kids” would outperform and outgun any spetznas unit. Spetznas are struggling against Ukranian special forces that were trained by men in videos like these right now 🤷🏽♂️

looks sooooooo elite omg
Awesome! just beautiful!

They looked more like regular marines shooting as in they were sloppy.
That’s what the training was for…
Marines are badass
GO AIR FORCE !!! WOOO!
Looking at this war I can can with confidence that we have the best of the best.
Recon and 75th Ranger Regiment would probably be a good training pair.
These guys need to watch some Magpul Dynamics videos
If these guys live up to their motto then America might have a chance for freedom.
Uhhh we are free 🙂
@@tateblalock7908 yeah ok. Whatever you say must be the truth.
My favorite range
Interesting.
Looks great and all....but try 4 hours doing house clearance using the grasp the end of the fore grip method....that fore hand gets moved back pretty quick to just infront of the trigger !
Interesting to see a elite unit like this and not a single one has made any modifications to there handgaurd a IE forgrips, bipods, etc
Other units do
It's because nowadays, operators and soldiers prefer to use the C-clamp grip which makes foregrips redundant.
YUT YUT YUT!
Good show!
Looks good
The marines and army are both probably happy that the navy isn’t around

Greetings from Poland. Poland celebrates its 25th anniversary in NATO.

I believe the running back and forth is called stress shooting because your adrenaline is pumping and your hearts beating and your breathing heavily.
Not for sure though if I’m wrong tell me.
Anyways God Bless our Military.
You mean the Marine Corps. is teaching the Army rifle skills? Semper Fi.
@Freddy Ruger yeh I made the comment before watching. I think these are the recon reservist Marines. I’m hoping so anyway.
@Freddy Ruger eesh. Well hey teaching what not to do is important, sometimes. Like tying your shoes…yeh this is no good.
I love how shooting barricades are becoming more mainstream
Right before I got out of the Marines in 2018 they started to do more barricade shoots even for normal 0311's in Line companies
Oh gee i wonder what country the patch is

Force should be part of MARSOC / SOCOM as the primary Deep / Special Recon unit. MAGTF would still have Battalion Recon.
No need. Each SOCOM unit conducts their own SR plus the Air Force’s newest unit is SR as well. Plus JSOC has RRC. There is no room for them
I disagree. MARSOC Raiders are capable of their own deep reconnaissance; Force Recon is crucial in that they can achieve deep recon for and during a large scale invasion, without being tied to SOCOM. SOCOM units, although still a part of their respective branches, are not actually controlled by, and do not functionally work for the branch they belong to. They're controlled by SOCOM itself.
@@FeatheredDino ah ok, I thought something else. Luckily enough Force recon companies have worked with Marsoc with that role in place before just not an any real world application because force stopped deploying to Afghanistan in 2013 as a combat asset. In a near peer fight this would definitely be used by the marine corps
Marsoc does deep reconnaissance already there is no need
🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
👍👍👍
Muzzle awareness... if you're training technique it may as well be perfect.
Interesting rifle trainings
Meanwhile here in the UK our standard infantry firing from different positions range involves factors like horizontal rain, howling winds, being soaked, moving from cover to cover firing at ranges upto 400m...I'd love to see these pair have a go at it.
They’ll kill it…
A large majority of Green Berets are prior infantry and/or rangers (rangers to us are like your Paratroopers)
They can shoot exceptionally well, in adverse conditions, and with a lot of different weapon platforms (especially the Weapons Sergeants)
Can’t speak from experience with marine recon, but I worked Group Support and can speak from experience that some of them are fucking excellent shooters.
But it’s all case by case basis.
End of the day, a green beret would smoke any infantry man any day of the week.
100% mate hahaha
They would clearly crush it
I mean this is just a small shooting range in Okinawa. There are huge places like ft Polk, irwin, 29 palms, ft benning and Bragg that are most like the ones you’re talking about
Green Berets out here training MARSOC! Good work!
Force Recon and MARSOC are two different entities…
Wrong. Try again.

I don't understand why they put the barrel on the wood.. Instead of the stock. The barrel should be able to resonate freely with each release. This way your shot will be different each time.
Run that one back chief
It doesn’t matter, it’s not free floated so it’s the same pressure on the barrel. Doesn’t matter if you use the rail or barrel on the barricade. Old wive’s tale

Indo-Pacific...
Is that Singapore Straits, Indonesia, to Taiwan? What exactly is it if not that?
What makes them relatevely slow, when running, at least in my opinion, is keeping they guns muzzle down. In my country military we were told by instructors, to keep gun muzzle up when running short distances. In this way gun doesnt bother your legs and arms movement. But i see, u guys in USA arent big fans of muzzle up. In videos i very rarely see someone in USA keeping the gun muzzle up. Anyway, i dont have moral right to teach those guys about this stuff, i was just regular soldier, so those guys in rhis vid would beat the crap out of me all the way.thats just my friendly observation about gun keeping technique:-)
I’m sure it’s a safety issue, particularly on the range where the only place you want an accidental discharge to go is into the ground.
Catışmada destek alıp ateş edersiniz :)
They are not familiar enough with those holsters, it makes me question what ELSE they need to work on.
