Thanks for your content Andy. You got me painting models again. Painting some Highlands Miniature Dwarfs. Even broke out my old warhammer orc and goblin army. Was able to make a small army of Goblins and a small army of Orcs and played my first game of Kings of War against one of my oldest mates. What a great game. Plays so well. I probably wouldn’t have stopped playing Warhammer back in the day if it played as well as KoW.
FYI peasant banners don't give up points due to their special rules. Big agree on the 2x3 pegasus knights, they work exactly how you've said and I always take a pair.
Even if folks aren’t interested in Tournament Prep, the army showcase shots are worth it! Fun to see it all coming together. Best of luck over the weekend!
2:56 do you have some special video about painting this group of knights, because they look awesome and I have the same idea. Thanks and I wish you victory in the tournament! :-)
May the Lady Of the Lake Bless your army to lay the whoop ass against your opponents at the Tournament. Of course, I wish you a great time. Would half a dozen games there be too few? Hope I get to flex my Primaris army's muscle in a couple of weeks. It will be quite a while before I get started on my Horus Heresy armies. Love the paint scheme on your knights and other troops.
7:39 I had those!!! Those were so cool but I’ve lost them over the years 😢 Why would your men at arms unit not have a full command? I’ve been adding that to all of my units so far just out of habit.
because it is useless. This unit cost 45 points. The banner alone gives your opponent more points than the unit is worth (+50). That means 95 points if this unit gets destroyed in Combat and it will. 10 Men at Arms wont accomplish anything. Full command only in really big units. For the 17 Points of Full command you can get 4 additional M@A which is more useful for small units.
@@bremer1701 What do you think about a small group of Chaos Chosen? I'm also using units of 20 Night Goblins in my OG army as archers/fanatic delivery systems so I guess a banner isn't worth it on them.
good luck dude, got a large tournament next week here in Czech Republic, my army list keeps changing each week lol, i wouldnt be worried about the opponent running down your MAA and taking the banner, theyre peasants therefore your opponent wont get 50pts for the captured banner
@@MediocreHobbies not good, didn't win a single battle, think I came 27 out 29 players, Duke kept fluffing his attacks so he's been stripped of his titles and his lands and forced into exile so the next tournament I'll be taking part in I'll be using the exiles list
I've had decent results from giving the gauntlet to my BSB. He can usually win vs a unit champion and it keeps his 2W weak ass from getting targeted and slain in return.
@@colinplatt1963 so when I refer to Peasant banners I refer to units that have the peasantry Special Rule. "Ment-at-arms" and "Pedant Bowmen" both have this special rule.
@@davidm.corbin4643 Ah, now I get it! I paint far more than I play, so I often get smacked in the face by the cold hard reality of rules that I didn't realize apply to me! It'll be interesting to see how Andy went, but thanks for this, when I get around to painting my Bretonian foot, this is something to think about!
The Calvary unit filler bases for removed models are next level , well done
Wish I didn’t have to use them 😅
Such a beautiful army! A big inspiration for me. Good luck at the Warhammer world tournament!
Cheers pal.

Aw love to hear that, thanks so much for letting me know! Really happy you’re back painting and playing again 😊
Learned a lot from this vid, great stuff!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for the comment!
Looks like a really tight and strong army!! Good luck!
Cheers pal. It did well.
Absolutely amazing looking army, good luck at the tournament
Thanks man, update video will be up during the week!
Lovely painting, Andy. Good luck for the tournament!
Thank you! Cheers!
Loved this video!
I'm at a 40k tourney myself this weekend, there is nothing better than 2 full days of dice rolling!
It is the best way to spend life 😄

Best of luck Andy, have a superb time and that army looks stunning!
Appreciate that pal.

Thanks man, definitely need a proper showcase of this army soon!
Excellent, great looking army. Good luck Andy, have a fab' weekend.

I did some of them on Twitch I think, let me see if I can find the recipe again and I’ll reply again!

I didn’t have the points lol.
Have you planned to do some 2000 points tournaments too?:)
At some point yes!
Reminded me of how much stuff is needed to play...
You don’t need to have everything right away, if you’re not doing tournaments it’s easy to share stuff with friends!
What battle mat are you using? It looks really good
Oh hot I don’t know. I have about 20 and I don’t know where there all from at this stages.
Where / how do you get involved in tournaments?
They post them on the community site. Check out event bright to see once in your area.

How is it going????
It was a great weekend.
How I get ready for a tournament.
Step 1: realise I suck at competitive play
Step 2: stop
Step 3: start painting for myself
Step 4: result 😂
Sounds perfect to me! Painting is a whole hobby by itself anyway 😄
For 5 points to add in core, you can give the Gauntlets of the Duel to a Knight of the Realm champion 🙂

I expect you to win of course...

PEASANT BANNERS DON'T GIVE POINTS!!!
