Happy Chinese New Year. I am a born and raised Vancouverite but when my wife and I retired we moved to Port Alberni and I really miss my authentic asian food so your recipes are really appreciated Thank You
Happy New Year, Flo and Dude and family! I love this style of fish but never knew it could be so simple to make! Thank you for the recipes, cooking tips, and videos-you’ll make a good cook out of me yet. Best wishes for good health, prosperity, and, especially, joy in the New Year!
Thankyou Flo, these recipes look amazing. Have a blessed and happy Chinese New Year, and thanks for all the wonderful recipes you have put out to date.❤
Hi Flo (and dude!). I really love your informative, experienced, and gentle style. Bless you for what you give to all of us amateurs to enrich our kitchens. 🙏💞
I love those recipes. I’m so glad I have your cookbooks too. Otherwise I’m madly writing the ingredients and cooking techniques and not watching. Thank you so much for all of your wonderful recipes. ❤️
Ms. Flo.... I love the Vietnamese Chicken sandwich Bánh mì. Would you please do a video of making one, or at least how to pickle the daikon radish & carrots?
Love the recipes happy Chinese new years flo and dude and family though I'm not Chinese, but Panamanian and Dominican enjoy the Chinese new year 🎆🎉🎊!!!.
Happy Chinese New Year to you and Family. Thanks for helping in streatching my $$$.00 You are a good Team in SHARING. HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! Klaus a Vancouveride. CDN.
Happy Chinese New Year, Flo (and your family) - thanks for the recipes. Try cooking rendang one day, you can get the ready-made sauce from any of Asia supermarket and then spice it up. Give it a go!
Happy Year of the Snake Flo and Dude, great recipes but no to the fish with its head on (your kids loving the eyes ugh!😂) also I make 4 spice powder as cilantro I’m good with but cinnamon is my kryptonite, I cannot bear it, I hold my breath going past Cinnabon🤣. Have a great week
We have never seen beef included in our Chinese New Year celebrations. I plan to definitely try your beef brisket recipe on another day. It looks delicious. You did not mention where you buy a brisket. I usually get meat at Costco and the last brisket we bought there was gigantic with a thick fat cap. Love your videos.
My favourite cut for this recipe is beef finger meat that I usually buy at the Asian supermarket. Another option is to cut up a pot/chuck roast. Any meat you would use for stew will do.
💚✌🏽I love beef neck bones. What do you think about those? Or pot roast? I think my grocer might not have brisket and if they do may be expensive. Just thinking out loud. I will check. Thank you for your recipes. Happy healthy prosperous New Year🎉
Great Vid Flo, Happy Chinese New Year from NYC!! Re: the beef dish, can you use cubed sirloin steak instead ? Does it cook same way? Trying to use what I got in freezer. Thank you,
Thanks so much! I notice you have a substitute for Chinese rice wine. But what about sesame oil which you tend to use to marinate meat? My son has a life-threatening allergy to sesame as well as nuts. What can you suggest, mam’ to replace sesame oil to marinate raw meat? Any idea? Many thanks, again.
I seem to have gotten lost in my new "remote" job at home job... are you still doing the personal vlog's? I cannot find the apparently saved channel. And I need to find your Tso and sweet and sour recipe again. My old hard drive failed and somehow, I felt the need to tell you that. In any case. going to search for it on the channel. You both and the kids, and cats are amazing.
Happy Chinese New Year. Many Red envelopes to you. I cut a bunch of habanero peppers and my fingers felt hot. I washed them about 20 times in soap and water and they still felt hot. Then I was watching TV and touched my eye with my finger. I thought I was going to die. I later found out that oil is needed to remove the oil of the peppers. It does work. If you paint with oil based paints the same thing works. A bit of veg oil removes all the oil paint from your hands. Just wish I had learned that before I stuck my finger in my eye cutting habaneros.
Happy Chinese New Year! 🧧Wishing everyone a rich and joyous time of celebration with your loved ones.

💚✌🏽 I actually gave my instant pot away. I know🤷🏽♀️Live and learn.

Pot roast would work great, just cut up into 1.5”-2” chunks.
I'd opt for prime rib myself
Which cookbook of yours is the first dish located in? Thanks and Happy Chinese New Year!
So taste
Great Vid Flo, Happy Chinese New Year from NYC!!
Re: the beef dish, can you use cubed sirloin steak instead ? Does it cook same way?
Trying to use what I got in freezer.
Thank you,
Thanks! I would use any stewing type meat like beef finger meat or pot/chuck roast to sub for the brisket.

Just omit it. Your dishes will still be delicious.

Kung Hai Fat Choi, Lung Maa Chingsan
