    Replaced both O-Rings and noise was gone immediately, I didn't even need to bleed out the air, amazing. Before it would whine and foam up
    I have a 2000 Honda accord v6 and it was very tough removing that 10mm lower section. I had to move the alternator wire and remove the hose but still it was hard to get to the nut. I found out that using a flat spanner wrench, SUPER THIN and small, with it I was able to easily get in there and open it. My flex wrench would not work the head was too big, so a flat wrench or a stubby wrench is absolutely necessary. Ive heard an offset wrench or curved wrench can work too

    Turns out that seal under the bearing DOES fit! You just have to drive the bearing and the drive shaft out. The seal lives under there.

    Great video thanks! I figure if I'm taking the time to pull all this stuff apart I might as well replace the pump and the belt. My luck the 246k pump fails 2 days after replacing the seals! LOL

      If I buy an aftermarket power steering pump do I still need only Honda ATF?

      @@romankalyniuk2596 I don't know I didn't end up doing mine. For some reason the fluid was just low but doesn't leak. After starting the car it's hard to turn the wheel the 1st 10 seconds or so then fine so I'm leaving it alone. The transmission is what is leaking but it shifts fine so I'm just gonna check the fluid every few months and drive her into the dirt! Lol

    Out of curiosity... why only Honda specific power steering fluid?

    • @SalemDoyle
      @SalemDoyle  3 роки тому

      The seals in hondas are different and require that fluid

    Does anyone know how to get the air out, I have my 2002 honda accord ex v6 and going through some whinning noise when I turn the wheels left to right and I have replaced the power steering pump, I thought it would go away, plus I put power steering fluid in, and it was leaking or like spiting out fluid out from the resvoir, so not sure if it's really too much air inside or something else. Can help anyone give me advise on this problem?

      Check the return side of the lines for a possible leak that would allow it to pull air back in
